I had a manual 316 for my first car and it went good for what it was. Now i own a manual 318 m10 and i have to say it goes a hell of a lot better than the m40 316 even though the m10 is claimed to only have 5 more hp or something like that but i found in reality goes way better and is just as economical as 316.

Because i looked at it but was suspous as it was advitised as face lift and it is not, it has rust in the boot, a whole punched throught the floor(right passenger) and rust was starting to eat at the fire wall, but it may be a different car. Just make sure you check that out though.

I dont think the colour of the car helps much in its apperance either, and 6 spoke wheels arent the nicest, i was thinking of some like 16" baskets, and tsw make sum nice wheels lik dat.

Did it look phat? I could imagine a silver e30 with gun metal flares and 16" tsw wheels painted charcole could look tough, hmmmm

Does anyone know of any Bmw diesels in N.Z. at the moment? An e36, e28 or e30(rare). With the m21d24, or the m51d25 engine and manual. I know these are rare but just woundering as i have seen a few on tm b4.

You dont need to mould it into the body, they screw or rivit on, but ofcourse you could if you wanted, i was thinkng some nice 16" tsw wheels with lots of spokes painted charcole would do the job well, and ofcourse wide tyers, im serously considering it.

I like it, but i dont wana make my car un-original, its so original and mint now i would hate to do any mods like that, but very tempting, maybe i suld buy another e30...track day car...but havent got the funds to run it

Was searching ebay and saw some 2002 turbo flares and thought would they fit a e30 with a bit of modification? do u think they would look cool?

Did some more research and found some cheaper and what sound by better ones, electric supercharger

I worked out it would be $1000 landed and fitted, for 15 hp, do you think that would be worth it? i would put it on my m10 first then maybe do the m42 coversion and put it on that, sounds pretty good to me for bolt up hp.

Any know or heard about these electric supercharger state that they give you 27hp and just bolt on, was thinking of one for my m10, then if i like it put the m42 in and have a nice little unit.

I think i am going to get a crashed e36 318is so i know i have everything, but thanks anyway. I am getting an mtech kit hopfully this weekend, and jamex 40mm springs, im gona turn into a track day/daily driver but have standard interior and just take it out 4 track days. I might get some extractors and free flow system for it as well, cold air box to. Should be a nice little unit once its done, hopfully getting the car when my dad goes to japan in mid year, then get the e36 striped out and put the engine in the e30 in the christmas holidays.

Well thats what i was thinking of doing and then once im done with the donor car i would sell the parts that were not needed to lessen the cost of the overall project, what do 318is standard go like? i heard they are preyty nice and nible.

What are the bits that are different betwween fitting an e36 318is engine in an e30?
