My neighbour has this website on his bmw so I thought i would ask here first.
Today my bmw 318i 1995 overheated. Needle went into the red
I stopped at the next gas station and waited maybe 30min for the car to cool down.
When i opened the water it was quite empty, so I filled it up. And drove home, but just when I was in the driveway steam came out of the radiator(?) and i noticed the needle was saying the car was overheated again! I opened the hood and steam/water was coming out somewhere next to the bottle where you put water in!
I opened the water and it was drained again? But was not leaking on the ground? I filled it up again but it took a lot of water, maybe 8-10litres!!
My dad rang and said it might have a blown head or something? does that sound right? I don't want to drive it anywhere now. but have work tomorrow
