My 2004 e60 545i will no longer work in sport or multitronic. It doesn't even register sport mode anymore and when in multitronic it will not move out of 6 gear.
Just had all the transmission fixed as there was a 'lurch' problem in gear 5, and sport/mutlitronnic has not worked since i got it back from the garage.
Knowing virtually nothing about modern cars, is this a problem created by the gargae when replacing the transmission or it is just co-incidence?
Error code 5086 was coming up on their computer when it was plugged into my car, but they seemed pretty stumped as to what the problem is caused by
Any ideas?
