How do you tell from the Vin what the engine is? Cheers

Looking at this awesome example of a 740i, but a few things a bit out that I wouldn't mind grabbing some advice/opinions on. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...amp;permanent=0 Is it a Genuine ACS? And I noticed on Carjam, the CC rating is 3.5L engine, when these cars should be running a 4.4L. How do we tell what engine is in the car? Cheers
