Just ordered a pair of these:
From: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237510
Any estimates to what the installation/welding will cost me?

Good price. I paid quite a bit more for mine not long ago.

I appear to be having this issue: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=353371
Have a look at the attached SIB in the 2nd post.
Basically:
1. Only happens in full auto2. Usually only when the car is cold3. Usually only in 2nd and 3rd gear4. Car "lurches" 2-3 times while accelerating lightly5. Does not happen if I accelerate hardA lot of people seem to have corrected the issue with an update to the ECU software - anyone come across this? -
Spotted your car not long ago, Quay st I think.

That's pretty shite.

I organised this once on eurosport.co.nz when that forum was still around - that's where my plates came from. Took quite a bit of effort to organise!
I didn't organise my set through you, but I'm keen on a set of black stickers, if you have spares.

Love your car, I must have one... one day.

Hello Autogravity!
My e92 is booked in with you later this month to have the BT phone/streaming upgrade. I have some questions. Figure I may as well ask these publicly in case anyone else is interested.
1. I understand the CD changer will be useless, which is fine - will you completely remove it?
2. What is the "PC Card" slot for above the CD Changer? Will this be removed too?
3. Do you do aftermarket amp/sub installs?

Any suggestions on the best local or import site to purchase a catback from?

I also have a 335i, keen to hear your results if you went through with it.

Thanks! I'll check it tonight.Could just be a sway bar drop link - they're pretty common to knock, and are cheap/easy to replace.
They tend to get worse and worse, until they are clicking over rough surfaces and small bumps too.
-
Hi, I'm getting a knocking sound most of the time when I drive over a pothole or any kind of bump. It used to happen very rarely, but over time it now happens very regularly.
The car feels fine to drive, just an annoying "knock" every now and then - sounds like it's coming from the front right.
I suspect it's a bush, does that sound right? Could it be something else?
Much appreciated.

So I've done some research, and I'm keen to get the Hawk Performance HP Street brake pads for my E85.
But looking at their website, something confuses me: http://www.hawkperformance.com/parts/
The 3.0i model has larger rotors (300mm) than the smaller engine versions (286mm). For instance, Hawk only sell rotors for the 3.0i (Part # HUS619). These are the larger versions which would not suit the 2.5i or the 2.0i etc.
But when I look up their parts for the pads, they only list one type for the entire Z4 range (Part # HB546F.654) - shouldn't there be two versions to suit the two sizes of rotors? Could I be under-utilising the larger rotor size by using their one-size-fits-all pads?
-e- added rotor sizes. I guess 7mm is so tiny, it doesn't really make a difference...

That sucks, someone else PM'd me that the BMW label on theirs was smudged. I honestly just packed them up so fast, I didn't even notice.Mine came today and they look good but a bit gutted that one of the surrounds was broken and the piece missing from the package.
I can tell you though there was definitely no piece in the box.

I have done that before with europlates, works like a charm - had it on for 4 years on my Merc and never came off. In fact it was an epic mission to finally get them off when I sold the car.Came early this morning. thanks.
Hopefully getting my front bumper resprayed and cleaned up next week as the front is chipped to f@#k.
Anyone ditched the plate holders and used strong double sided tape?
-
They sure do!they look good dont they!
Just an update, I was just in the warehouse at work, the plates are leaving this morning, I didn't quite make it into last nights shipment.
If you're in the North Island, you will likely get it tomorrow. If you're in the South Island, it could be on Friday, but more likely Monday.
