What do you want for it?I have a 1989 325i UK spec Radiator, its for the models that came without A/C, its smaller then those models.
It doesn't leak, but when I had it test they said 28% blocked, but thought it was ok to use still.

As title says, the plastic piece that the top hose clamps onto has snapped off leaving there nothing to clamp the hose onto. Ray from hellbm reckons a new one is in order.
Cheers!

That stuffs freaking cool, you just peel it off right? Looks good!Found some Plastidip so had a crack at it... Much more expensive than in the states at $30NZD a can here ($5-10USD there) but thought what the hell for $60...
Very pleased with the result

Blew the piston rings on the old engine, got the head sitting in the garage if you want to come and have a look, i'm on the shore. CheersMine is cracked so I'm looking at options right down to a 3.5 swap. But putting a 2.5 back in it is easiest so let's see what people have got.
Auckland area prefered but will travel to hamilton and the likes if needbe.

I do enjoy a picture heavy build thread, very very cool dude! It's one of those cars you'll never be finished with, always something else you'll wanna do! Awesome build!Latest update end of page 5
Hi to you all, it is now time to share my 5 year struggle with you all to enjoy and pick at..
I purchased my 85' E30 320i Auto BMW in May 2002 from a wreckers in auckland in the plan to have a cheap runabout on the road so I could use the rest of the money i had from selling my MR2 turbo to buy a house..
Once the house had eventuated, i proceeded to manuel it, lower it and start to paint it and add the token chrome wheels which were huge at the time (back in the day)
But as soon as my mates started drifting i had to have in and imported a drifter from japan and unfortunately the bmw found itself parked on the lawn under covers, half preped for painting.....
After the drift fad wore off, i parted out the 180sx and my mate said... 'why dont we put that motor in the bma'... and so the sagger started.
Decided to head overseas for two years not long after that decision, so mad rush to get the motor mounted and paint finished in march 2004 and jammed it into storage. I dusted off the cobwebs last year (2006)to carry on with it.
Now i have ten weeks to finish it, to usefor our wedding in may, so wish me luck..!!
Enough of the bma's life story on with the details...
85 E30 320i four door
S13 SR20det conversion with s13 gearbox and 5 puk clutch and short shifter.
Custom one peice driveshaft, gearbox mount, 3 inch exhaust with notched subframe.
325i rear trailing arms, axles and discs/rotors.
Custom solid mount subframe with camber and toe adjustment with nolathane bushes.
E30 LSD!! skids on!!
Shortend struts and rear jamex springs.
Custom adjustable front coilovers and custom camber plates.
4 pot front wilwood dynalites with custom brackets (thanks to darren, aka SITDWN)
Custom cut brake pads.
boosterless pedal box with wilwood twin mastercylinders and in cabin adjustable brakebias (should have that back this week hopefully to mount in)
I had bolt on spacers to convert from 4x100 to studded 4x114 to use 16x7 and 16x8" 35 offset wheels to clear the front coilovers (this spacer and wheel set up can be for sale) but have canned those in favour of custom built ROH wheels with crazy offsets and in 17x7 and 17x8 (these are below, silver with dish). hense also canning the chromes which are now on my wagon..
These r the old 16's with spacers
Microtech LT10 with Dash unit and microtech coils and ignighter. to be wired still.
Hybrid GT28RS Ball Bearing Turbo top mounted on SS manifold
32mm external wastegate, plumbed back into custom 3 inch down pipe (nice and legal).
Custom 2.5 inch intercooler piping and front mount intercooler, blitz bov, small pod filter.
Aftermarket bmw bodykit (sorry dont know what sort) fixed and modified to my liking, yet to be painted.
Sideskirts.
Bear metal respray (due to old paint crazy cracking) with 7 layers. sorry will not devolge colour, haha
Aftermarket black backing halo headlights and soon to have smoked out rears and indicator set.
Surge tank with bmw low pressure pump to feed tank and airtek 500cc pump to feed rail.
Sard fuel pressure regulator and braided fuel lines, front and rear anodized fuel filters
New power steering, oil and water feed lines all with lots of anodized fittings.. dam sexy stuff
Chrome radiator, power steering, and oil catch tanks.
14inch electric fan onto sr20det radiator.
Rear strut brace, battery in boot and kill switch.
WRX seats and momo steering wheel
Changed the door cards to black (were tan, interior pretty standard for now)
Im sure there is other stuff but cant think of anything more, like new fuel tank, and other bits that were f..k.d up from the previuos bmw killer.
Running out of money.... help!! haha

As the title suggests, has anyone got some lying round?
-
Damn this is cool!

So here is what we'll call the baseline. I found humour in pulling it to bits today, needs work, lots of it but I recently acquired a new toy. A big ass miller tig welder, while I was picking that up I dropped off some big oxy bottles to be tested n filled, picked up the welder then went to get the car to haul back up the country. I've basically either gotta get the engine out onto the stand or find another one, it's blowing water into the cylinders and exhaust gases into the water etc. Not a good look however dat straight 6 rumble.
From what I know it's got the front lip, the later "smiley" lights and was owned by BMW shop mechanics for a good portion of its life. It's the other portion of it that has done the damage.
Gave it shot with degreaser all over, let it soak then blasted with the waterblaster with some suds in it. Came up much better. My phone is sub par at showing
Full of crap
To list what I found
Car cover
Snap lock bags (handy for pulling the motor apart)
shell 15w-40
rust converter and primer
sandwich press
upholstry cleaner
box full of satay chicken noodle sachets
bleach
3 bottles of ajax
jiff that had exploded all over the boot
3 cans of tuna
a new FM shower radio
full shaving gel
a pack of shaving razors
various spanners which oddly enough completed my set in the shop
glovebox handle
some shoes, several ties, some shorts and some dirty underwear
new roll of rubbish bags which was handy
some new buckets
The world according to clarkson volume 2 and "the art of war"
some brand new work gloves (thank you, will take that)
pack of zipties which I threw in the racecar
a billion drink bottles
several bank statements
a birthday bag with long dead flowers in it
a few bags of popcorn which I microwaved and ate
some flysprays
several drinking cups
couple unopened heineken (drank)
brand new tube puncture repair kit
a shaker with oregano in it
Some rope
some rolls of electrical tape
couple cresents for my toolbox
genuine zippo lighter that works
new bottle of seal up, optimistic at best especially when it's still in the bottle
And to finish up it's former broken life and give it one last run before pulling it to bits. If it can't crack a skid it needs to either GTFO the shop or be made capable of doing one.
The idea now is to make it better and not break it from here on in. There is a small part of me that wants to just do it in BMW colours with the Red and Blue stripe deal taking up the entire rear 1/3 of the car. Could use some paint there anyway but the grown up thing to do would be to just leave it boring er I mean white.
So that was my first day of owning a beamer, I think this makes 10 cars I own right now. Should just stop but I can't.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading that haha

Cheers man, it was rubbing on the back but got some Bilsteins from ray and hasn't rubbed since, the muffler has been driving me nuts haha I it looks horrible, just about getting some time to do something about it hahaLooking good man, some nice improvements since I saw it last.
You getting any tyre rub with the 15s?
I agree about sorting out the muffler mounting and shadow lining though!

How long ago was that? Looked like it must have had a rough time between you and me owning it hahaJust seen this thread.. I owned that awhile back. Good to see it still being cared for
