Last pic on 19's for a while; swapped on the e39 m5 wheels with semi slicks y'day in prep for the next Gumboot Rally.

To be fair, she was on the clock. Time is money!
-
MTOY levelled up today, it was at Concours! Granted it was on my stand, but it still counts! Generated a bit of interest, should take it out more.
-
I used to love those..!!! .... If you couldn't tell already ?
-
Oh right haha yeah the weave is good, and fitment perfect - he does great work! Turnaround times are better these days too (used to take months!).

These side cards are from Geoff Steel in the UK mate

Finally an update. Picked up some new hole drillers and chopped up my carbon fiber rear cards. Measured them up somewhat successfully, installed the rear speakers and fitted up nicely. Installation was quite fun with a cage in the way but I got there, and even better the stereo works. Great success. Big ups to Geoff Steel, my carbon rear cards have arrived and look awesome. These are going to look incredible once I sand down the edges, then prep & coat them in ceramic. Good Xmas project. Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

I'd take a look on Youtube and see what exhausts you like the sound of. Once you narrow down what you like, find out who stocks them in NZ (if anyone) or look at bringing one in. Also, you've posted in the meets section. Good luck.

Aaaand more changes ? CSL wheels on ... for a bit. They look good with the extra inch of low imo. These tints are ridiculous. Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

It certainly leads a busy life for the amount of kms it drives ?

Did a little switcharoo this arvo, removed some decals and swapped the boot lid. Running the e92 18’s for that super smooth look. Loving how little effort this thing takes to swap around, keeps someone who’s consistently getting bored like myself entertained !

Some better pics for an insta feature thing for the guy who made my wheel. Pretty happy with the interior as it is now. Got talking to Kayne Barrie at the BMWCC meet today (he rebuild my motor last year), now I want shorter gears and a better diff. It never ends...! Had a play around tonight fitting up different combinations of the steering wheel trim. Decided on the full carbon look, for now..! It's a bit overkill, but it does work with the rest of the carbon fiber. Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Edit: couple of outside shots too. I'm planning to change up aero again soon, have some different parts underway. Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

Thanks Nathan, will PM you. Original post updated

I've hoarded some good stuff over the past few years, realistically I'm not going to use much of this again so it may as well go to a good home. All parts in very good original condition unless otherwise stated. Welcome to view or feel free to request more photos of anything you might be interested in. Autotintz have always done good work for us: www.autotintz.co.nz. Check out my showroom thread for a few different versions of their film. I'm now running their full metallic.

More carbon fiber goodness on the way! I'm a bit fed up with how the oem panels fit behind the cage (they're not perfect). The only real fix is to remove the panels and replace them. I already have carbon fiber rear armrests which'll look quite nice on the panels. I'll also fit the oem speakers, they're quite clever how they screw together! Just updating this thread, missed a few things. Safety gear pretty much sussed, almost ready for track! Just gotta pass scruitineering then we are good. Cage homolgated a-ok. Got some 3d printed collars to hold harnesses in place. Gotta sort out some trim issues on the rear cards, I had to cut them up to fit behind rollcage. Ive also sent my old oem steering wheel in to the trim shop to be restored. There was nothing too wrong with it, but I’d like to have it in new condition as a spare to go with all the rest of the oem parts. I have also picked up a spare front bumper which is finally at the panelbeaters getting painted (thanks again @JohnM575) and another oem bonnet to have a play with. Next up, another set of semis and a bit more time on the track..!
-
Yep the later model m3's came with this kind of carbon kevlar bumper support. Not sure if it's the same on all e46's bro?
-
Had a little damage to the front spoiler after the Gumboot Rally so pulled the bumper and had a go at fiberglassing the spoiler whilst on the bumper. I've fixed it before (off the bumper) but adhered it rather too well so don't want to remove & reattach if I can avoid it. Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Good chance to clean behind the bumper too, it was pretty dusty and gross. by Christian Taylor, on Flickr by Christian Taylor, on Flickr Completely unrelated we won the 'too low for gumboot' award haha Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

I applied paint protection film to the carbon ashtray cover today. It's been annoying me how soft the clear coat is, and it swirls and attracts fingerprints super-easily. Hopefully this'll make it better. Untitled by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

The massive dents in the bootlid offer an alternate outcome to your line of thinking ?

Haha hey man, was at Mister D's getting a cheeky donut before Gumboot Rally day 2!

Bugger, I should've known that..! Look the same-ish shape as my ones.
