I dont have any buttons below my volume button and have google imaged it and mine is different? as i have read those above instructions before and couldnt understand what button they were on about.

1. Switch on radio
2. Within 10 seconds, press and hold down the 'm' button until the serial number appears (takes around 10secs) to enter the radio's service menu.
3. Use the + or - buttons to cycle through the menu settings until you see AREA JAPAN or just JAPAN (varies a bit depending on radio)
4. Use the 1...6 buttons to select either OCEANIA (or OCE) or EUROPE - both are valid settings for New Zealand - see below for differences.
5. Switch radio off to store the change
cool thanks. When you say 'm' button you mean menu button?

Hello i have recently bought a 2008 e92 m3 jap import, its been in the country for roughly 3 years so never thought to check the radio/gps. I know the gps kan be done at a price but i read on the internet the radio kan be changed myself to pick up all NZ stations but kan not find the process involved to do my car. Any help would much appreciated
Thanks Sander

Hello
One off my front fog light bulbs has blown on my e46 M3 and want to replace both with a very white/blue bulb. any recommendations??
As most advertise brightest light on the market etc etc but you only find out once you buy them if they are good or not!
Thanks

what are your rim dimensions ?
Do you just want them for daily driving?
Will you be using them on the track?
Front i believe is 8.5" and back is 9.5" with a 19" rim
just as a weekend car and not realy pushed to its limit much at al.
no i dont use it on the track
thanks for your help!

Thanks guys
its just my weekend car and i dont do track days. When i was bit younger with less money i would always put cheap tyres on and to be honest they were pretty crap. My thought is bmw have put effort in to makeing this car handle good why ruin it with cheap tyres. But in saying that i dont need a top of the range race tyre

Hello
I am going to need new tyres in the near future for my e46 m3 with the 19" wheels, and im not sure what to get so what are your recomendations?. The car currently has Pirelli pzero rosso 235/35zr19 on the front and 255/35zr19 on the back wich were on it when i bought the car!
Thanks!!

Sanderm3 - If you're up in AKL sometime I'm happy to take you for a drive in mine - supersprint backbox, the rest looks standard. Makes a hell of a difference in terms of noise over stock.
oh cool, im not up there often but i will let you know if i am, it would be good to here it in person!! thanks

I would go custom! There are a lot of shops in NZ that can make a quality, well-sounding exhaust for a very reasonable price. Plus you can ask them to do any type and any size exhaust for you as you are not fixed on manufacture's specifications...
yeah that could be a idea, might just have to go to a few places and see what they kan do
-
I am still thinking about changing the exhaust but not realy sure what to do. what are your ideas? (without spending a huge amount of money like some peaple do)
-
thanks for your help

Hey guys was wondering if anyone has or knows someone with this exhaust on there m3 as i dont want to buy it and then to find out it sounds crap, Any comments or ideas are welcome.

Welcome.
I have recently bought a e46 m3, i was exact same as you "I think I've fallen in love again!" such a nice car
cheers

very nice car mate

Cheers mate!Ahah, good man.
A friend of mine is doing much the same thing, he considered a 330i, but then realised if he waited and saved a bit more an M3 is a better way to go.
I guess it's just a matter of finding a good one with a healthy motor etc.
Did you check out a few before buying yours?
Oh good on him. I was a bit the same I looked at other cars but nothing made me go wow! I had always wantd a m3 but hadnt considered it until i realised I could afford one wich meant i had made my mind up.
When i was looking (only a month ago) there were not many 4 sale only 2 in manual and roughly my price range so didnt realy have many options. Then one was sold before i even had the chance to look at it. So there was only one left (the one i bought) had a service history from new and i couldnt find anything wrong with it
-
I chose the 6 speed manual, I had always wanted a manual, my e36 (first car) was auto basicaly because i wanted a bmw but couldnt afford a manual one, so i workd HARD! And saved to buy the m3 :-).Welcome.
What M3 model did you get, SMG or Manual?
Gosh only 18, I would find it alarming for myself to have one back when I was that age!
Haha yes it is definately some car for my age but i see myself as quite a responsible driver (unlike most of my age group haha)
-
yea that is definitely a big difference!Tell me about it ! shows the affordability of BMW's
At 20 years of age in 1987 I brought my first BMW an E21 323i with 90,000 kms for $22k The M3 was $130k at the time . Inflation adjusted thats $41k or enough good example E46 M3 price in todays terms. The dollar goes far these days.
Would have been great to have an M3 when younger when my reaction times were quicker
At 18 I had a 10 speed !
