Thanks for your help euroriffic, used CRC 556 in lock, pushed key in and out a few times and it worked. Door still won't lock or unlock from left side, but can live with that for the time being.

I will get some wd40 or crc tomorrow, but the door button won't move either, but it could be the actuator (solenoid) as you say or possibly door lock mechanism. Thanks for your quick reply

I am having a problem with a seized Drivers side (RHD) front door lock. It is a 1994 E36 320I sedan and doesn't have a chipped door key, and the key is the only way to lock or open the doors. The door has jammed the lock cylinder and cannot be turned one way or the other, therefore I cannot lock the door and becomes a security issue. The passenger door lock works well and will lock/unlock all other locks on the car except right hand drivers door. Any useful suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
