Hey guys
My flights are booked so I'm outta here shortly. Selling the 330ci before I go.
Here's a photo:
Asking price 13k on trademe but happy to negotiate with bimmersport memebers.

One suspects probably not....
Nah I wasn't really planning on doing anything, especially now as I'm leaving in 8 weeks with two cars to sell!

bump - price reduced.

Thanks for removing the link, prefer to keep things away from the tardme masses.
Its a great car, drove really well and was so tidy. Would almost buy it back if i didnt know what i sold it for (to the guy you got it from), and it was a 328i. Never leaked or used anything, and all electrics worked.
Out of curiosity, is the paint on the bonnet OK? In the pics it looks very faded, is this just the photos?
Yeah the paint on the bonnet is fine, it was actually a bit of dew that I didn't think would show up in the photos but has.

Looks good, but id prefer it if you didnt have a link to my thread in your listing on TM.
Real shame about the wheels being stolen, prefer them to the replacements. Good to see its still been well looked after.
Cheers
Yeah the new wheels suck, I didn't do a very good job at negotiating with the insurance company, got good tyres though.
Removed the ad link, sorry.

Hey guys
I've upgraded to an E46 330Ci Manual so am selling my old E36 323i.
I won't bother to rehash what's in the trademe ad:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=588726161
Starting price of $600 on the auction, reserve of 6k. Any reasonable offers considered.
Some of you may recognise it as KwS's old car from here:

Note the new wheels as the CSL reps were stolen

Good result. Keen to see it with the new wheels. Pics!
Still waiting to get it back, currently at the panelbeaters getting a little bit of damage repaired, just some sill and sideskirt work - nothing major.
Hopefully I'll get it back tonight, but possibly tomorrow.
-
we are quick to name & shame, care to name and promote the insurance company?
The insurance company is AON, but I've been dealing with Vero - think Vero must be the NZ seller of AON or something.
Get a pretty good deal with them through work, I know another member here has had problems with them but they've been bloody good.
-
Just an update on how I got on with insurance if anyone is interested.
They have put brand new wheels on (not CSL reps unfortunately) and new Falken tyres, and I had to pay the excess and 25% of the tyres.
Currently it's off to the panelbeaters to get looked at and any underside damage fixed that might have been caused by it sitting on bricks.
Have to say the insurance company has been pretty good about the whole thing.
Will post some photos up when I get the car back - hopefully tomorrow night.
-
So it turns out they also stole the front lip off the car as well.

That sucks. Doesn't seem worth the effort / planning. What are 'hot' second hand reps worth? Less than a cell phone?
Out of interest how would insurance view this? They are "BMW" wheels, so you shouldn't have to note them specifically on you policy? What sort or replacement value would yo get ?
Will let you know how I get on with insurance, so far they've taken the car to get inspected for other damage and have sent the photos through to a tyre shop to get a quote. So far they've been pretty good, although at times it feels they've never dealt with this situation before, when they try to get a tow truck to move it......
I hadn't declared them to insurance and they haven't batten an eye lid so so far so good.
Ah sh*t that sucks, they looked SOOO good on that car I guess it didnt get locking bolts fitted after i sold it?
Theyre 18" reps, 7 or 7.5 wide i think. BMW center caps but no ///M stickers when i sold it (had the recess but nothing in them).
Cheers man, they were awesome wheels, hopefully I can get some decent money for them and get something else as good put on. Had lock nuts fitted, but that's obviously not enough anymore.

Cocks
Will keep an eye on Tardme, quite happy to link anything that resmbles
Cheers mate.
They were actually RE050s on the front
-
Nightmare... Where in AKL was this? Looks just like my street!!
In Herne Bay, moving in a couple of weeks as well!
Tyres were Bridgestone RE002s on the front, and Evergreens on the rear, all 225/40R18s
-
ahhhh crap ... really sorry to hear that man, they looked awesome on your car
Can you repost some photos of what they looked like .. and we will all keep an eye out.
If it makes you feel better, a member on here had his wheels stolen, they arrived on trademe some time later and the guy got caught and he got his wheels back.
Sure thing - these photos are actually from KwS's post when he owned it - hope he doesn't mind the plagiarism.
Would be magic if they turned up on trademe, but who knows. Opportunity to get some new wheels on the car now.
-
sh*t!
did you have lock nuts? or did they just smashed them off?
Yeah had lock nuts, so they must have done a bit of planning, looks like they had the e36 jack as well.
They put it on blocks so thankfully shouldn't be any other damage.
Where they genuine?
It's a sick feeling coming out and seeing your stuff gone. Hope the pricks get caught.
Nah they were replicas.
Time for some new wheels though, anyone got any thoughts?

Thats odd, the gas struts were perfect when i sold it. Also just FYI if it hasnt been serviced since i sold it, i ran Valvoline Synpower (5W30 i think) in it.
Thanks mate that's good to know, doesn't look like it's had a service in a while.
-
From the pics i saw on trademe i suspect it had the front bumper painted after i sold it? Was quite badly stone chipped when i had it.
Nah the bumper hasn't been painted, still reasonably badly stone chipped at the moment.
That's on the future to do list, but it needs a service, pollen filter changed and the gas struts for the bonnet replaced first.
Have got the front lip on order too.
-
Bingo, is indeed my old car. Very nice, sad to get rid of it but needed more power.
My only advise, please dont wreck it.... its too nice to turn into a drifter or some such rubbish.
It's a beauty of car, looks like you put some serious work into it!
No chance of me turning it into a drifter or anything, I pretty much want to keep it exactly how it is, minus the ghastly stickers the previous owner has plastered all over the glass.
-
Hmm nope but im sure I spotted you parked at the Telecom Mayoral Drive carpark yesterday ? Very nice car, it caught my eye
Can help you out locate the motorsport lip for it too .. OEM new and fairly cheap
That was definitely me parked in the MDR carpark, will send you a PM about the lip - sounds epic.
Thanks for the welcomes everyone too.
-
welcome.
sweet ride.
Did you mean 323i?
This is the very rare 313i.
Haha yeah I meant 323i!
