Prefacelift 325i M20 inlet manifold wanted in Wellington.

Chaps,
Sorry for the confusion. It's the rear trailing arm tabs. I have sorted out with welding some reinforment to the tabs.
Cheers

I have installed uprated sway bars and the factory mounts on the control arm can't take the extra load and are bending. Has anyone reinforced their's. How was it done.
Cheers.

Conrod, would aftermarket ECU make a big difference for full throttle over a custom chip? i gather removing the AFM would increase throttle response but not necessarily change power figures, that comes from the fuel and timing which a custom chip can do?
what manifold would you recommend in NZ? many custom manifolds seem fairly basic and not really that great - I know the BTB ones over here have a dyno proven 18hp (SAE corrected for the flywheel) and around the same amount of torque, but they are not cheap.
I'm about to order a set of BTM race headers as soon as I can get someone else inteterested in buying another set. Cost of one set is 700 pounds vesus 400 pounds if 2 set ordered, plus savings in freight. I can get 2 sets landed in Wellington for $1,600 NZD including duty & GST.

+1
Had my fingers crossed when I clicked on the link. Oh well back to trolling Ebay looking for goodies.
Try Bell Motorsport in OZ. He has a few body parts for e30s.

Brendan,
I've been considering a Shrick but will probably go for a CAT cam from Quality Engineering in the UK. They gave me a quote a few months ago for a 283 degree for 188 Pounds.
Let me know if your interested as there could be a savings on freight for more than two.
I'm also looking at a set of BTM stainless race headers that would complement this cam. If I buy more that one set I can get delivered to Wellington for around $1,600. including GST and Duty. Check out their web site for dyno results etc.
Cheers,
Murray

Just had BTM confirm freight costs for 2 sets of headers of 210 pounds delivered to Wellington.
Result means that for 2- 5 sets they will cost approx $1,650 NZD each including 10% duty and 12.5 % GST
for over 6 sets price each approx 1,472 NZD each.
Let me know who's keen.
Cheers,

Hi Murray, do they have to be the same type to get the discount, might be interested in the E30 335 job if discount applies? Might have to talk to Glenn, Botanymotorworks, he may be interested as well.
I'll drop them a line on Monday to check.

Have just got a price list confirmed from BTB.
Stainless Steel 6-2 manifold
1 off: 752 pounds
2 - 5: 430 pounds (note hugh discount when ordering more than one set)
6 - 9: 376.
Stainless Down pipe 2-1
1 off: 288 pounds
2 - 5: 164 pounds
6 - 9: 144 pounds
They are also looking a cost effective freight package
Given the current exchange rate, makes them look OK cost wise, depending on freight. Estimated at about 300 pounds for 2 sets.
Let me know if your keen and I'll can make multiple orders. I'm in Weelington so you'll need to factor in freight around NZ.
Cheers,
Murray

Is any one keen on a performance exhaust manifold for their e30 325i from BTB exhausts in the UK. They have offered a discount if more than one set ordered as need to manufacture to order (8-10 weeks). They're not cheap at $750 pounds less 17.5% VAT, plud freight (plus further discount if more than one), but are the business as have been developed on their test bed over a few years.

Get them to drop off at Daily Freight in Seaview. You can collect at the Auckalnd depot. Shouldn't cost much more than a tank of gas.
-
Thanks for that info.
Thought it was a bit of a major. I'm also doing trailing arm bushes, diff, and a set of IE sway bars. Hopefully give me some added performance around the track.
Any suggestiosn on how to remove the old sub frame bushes. I understand one method is to melt them out, or would a good press do the job.
-
Has anyoneone attempted replacing the rear sub frame bushes that can offer advice.
-
Has anyone altered their e30 accelerator pedal from the std floor mounted hinge arrangement for adjustablity for racing. I'm finding with my race seat mounted as low as possible the base of the pedal could go fwd a few centremetres and less fwd angle on the pedal.

im in the UK if you cant find a NZ m52 crankshaft....if you can find one over here i can provide a UK shipping address and hope to ship some stuff back in a few months. last resort if you have no luck.
i think UK ebay had a 2.8 bottom end for pretty cheap recently
Thanks for that. I'll have a look on eBay. I was also looking at bringing a few bits back later in the year also (headers, camshaft, etc) so would be keen to share in a bulk freight deal.
