  1. BMWNZ don't want to have anything to do with the HPFP recall. I spoke to the CEO of Jeff Gray. He didn't even know about this problem. My 335i is NZ New. He said he'd have to refer this to BMW headoffice. Anyway, BMWNZ wanted about $900 for a HPFP ex Germany, and wouldn't replace under recall. Euro Italian did one for me for $400 odd. I figured it wasn't worth the hassle arguing the point with BMW. If a HPFP goes it is a safety issue. My engine suddenly went into limp mode as I was pulling out to pass someone. Could have been a serious accident. No problem with the Pierburg pump. If you do get the HPFP replaced make sure you run the fuel low, otherwise the mechanic has to drain your tank in order to replace the pump.

  2. Hi. I have a 2007 335i. Very nice car. The thinking man's M3. Very reliable. Replaced a faulty HPFP (common fault). Replaced with OEM Pierburg from Euro Italian for about $400 plus fitting. Also the trans oil pans leak (common E90 problem). I replaced the run flats with Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2. More comfortable and a better performing tyre than pretty much anything except PZero (at twice the price). I have just recently remapped the ECU with a JB4. Now putting out 400HP on aggressive tune setting. Still getting used to this. Lots of low end torque now, losing traction in 3rd gear. A great mod for USD500.

  4. Hi everyone

I'm currently in the US and radars are much cheaper than at home so am looking to buy one here.

Does anybody have any recommendations? (I'm not after a V1)

I'd like to get it hard wired and one with the option (additional price dependent) of jammers too would be good.

The Bel StiR is on my radar.. Ha! - anyone got any experience?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

Just remember jammers are now illegal in NZ, so don't disclose to customs :-)

  5. Hi

I have purchased an E91 with Factory 17" 194M rims

I am keen to change to 18"

-preferred option is 18" Factory 193m 'spider' wheels

    - alternative option is Replica M3 wheels to keep a semi factory look

Keen to find our if anyone as these available or where I should be looking!?!?

    Thanks

    HMM

    Hi

These are a staggered setup and hard to find. You need 18x8 and 18x8.5 for the rears. I had a look with no luck. You could import ex USA and use Kiwi Shipping as airfreight is expensive. Or go to 19s. Mag n Turbo have a setup in 19s for ms port. Replicas.

    Good luck
