Hi, I have been refurbishing my E34 535i and finally got it on the road. Problem is a rumbling from the diff (S3.91) and I need to raise some funds to have this repaired. So I have a recon M30 head which I will be selling so would like to know what the value is? it has cost a fair bit for the work so need to recoup the cost at least. Any interest?

Had the misfortune to have a large tree fall on my 323i Motorsport. So will be having parts for sale once i get some dry weather on the weekends. I think the picture tells the story!!!!

I am converting my E30 323i M to manual, unfortunately the new clutch kit that came with the car is incorrect its for E36 with dual mass flywheel i believe. Does anyone need one as will have to sell and purchase E30 kit or maybe swap for one?

After work on Monday I happily drove into the big metroplis of Whangarei approx 3Km, park the 323i M and dropped off some stuff to a friend. Jumped back into car turned the key, the car turned over and over and over all the lights were on but no one home. After trying various things from my limited knowledge I persuaded Ken to give me a hand and he very kindly obliged and it promptly stuffed half his evening up. We, well actually Ken (he has the skinned knuckles to prove it) were getting removing plugs and distributors down to a fine art to no avail. Eventually the cold and the lack of light had us tow to a friends workshop and leave it there for him to sort. Our friend was also a bit stumped and had the car towed to a local auto sparkie, they also then had problems. They put all their test gear on the car and it ran perfectly so put all their gear away shut the bonnet and the car did not start...to cut a long sory short the problem was finally tracked down to the rubber protective cover over the coil... take it off and it runs put it back and no go... The Auto sparkie had never seen this before, neither has anyone else i have come across, how about any of you guys??

The "beanbag" is a spoiler of sorts to restrict air rushing in sunroof when open, made in Germany so guess its some after market thing you can get over there. Aerial on bonnet is a dual band (vhf/uhf) which stays on car most of the time, in the rally we run 3 different radios on different frequencies, the pole has 2 aerials on it.

Unfortunately got a couple of chips on paint, usually when they got the corner wrong.. Pole is made up of different diameter aluminium which fit insde each other and fit in boot. Its lots of fun and we get to see lots of roads around the country yhat very few people have seen.

Just in case anyones interested I have managed to combine 3 of my interests together. These are BMW's, Motorsport and amateur radio. The Whangarei amateur radio club supplies radio operators for the major rallies in the north as there has to be a radio safety car every 5Kms in a rally stage. These photos were taken in the Wairere and Waipu Gorge stages, unfortunately we were to busy when the cars were running to get any pictures of them.

Hi I have just purchased my first BMW a 1984 323i M coupe and very much enjoying it. Purchased from Ken (a member here) who introduced me to this site. Its an auto but plans are being made to convert to manual, have most of the bits, but currently have to finish the new house, so will have to wait till summer. Any advice/hints on conversion would be appreciated to ease the process.
