  1. Thanks for the nice comments guys.

Matt the engines done 57,000km since new. Its probably done 15km since the freshen up

Insurance has been really well priced, I guess its because I've had it with the same company for 8 years with no claims. And I'm 28. Costs me around $900 a year.

  2. Good job Riley

I'll excuse you for looking like the blonde villain from Die Hard if you just do a skid mate! ;)

Thanks for all the kind words guys I will make sure I get it all cleaned up and looking sharp for a photoshoot soon.

Haha Si not bad mate not bad

  3. Drove the E30 for the first time in 3 years today........started first pop! Its been up at my cousins farm in a shed....gathering allot of dust for the last 1.5 years since the engine work was completed. Next mission is to get her back up to scratch and more than likely sell her before I head back to Europe. God it was good to get back behind the wheel and stretch its legs a little, reminded me straight away why I love this car. Its a beast and real event to drive.

Please excuse the state of it, I can assure you it will be looking sharp this time tomorrow!

  4. Chassis no. is under the bonnet. Insert a screw driver thru the grill on the left-hand side by the headligts. Locate the slotted hole in the bonnet catch and twist. Bonnet will open.

A BMW design for release cable failure.

    Cheers for the info Ray

    lol

PS Riley you bitch, bring that thing up to auckland..

I wish mate, but I wont have time as I'm on a bit of a mission over the next couple of months before I head back.

Id love to take it on one last good run but we will see......

Thanks for all your help guys, got it sorted today. Got the chassis number and had the key cut this afternoon.

    Fingers crossed it works haha

    Riley

  5. Hi All,

Its been a while since I posted on here, as many of you know I have been philandering around the UK and Europe for the last 3 years but the time has come for me to come back to catch up with family and sort a few things out while I'm back.

One of those things being my BMW, Dads had it stored away for me while I have been gone and in his wisdom/stupidity/shear laziness has misplaced the keys for it. The boots open but the rest of the cars locked, any ideas if I can order a new key from BMW? Can this be sourced via the number plate or do i need the chassis number? Can i find that anywhere else on the car on the outside?

Good to be back and Hello to all!

    Cheers

    Riley

  6. How long ago was that Josh ??

Don't think we'll ever see that again in our life time.. wouldn't it be great if people could just tolerate and live with each others differences and not hurt or kill each other.. humanity just seems to waste each other for the simplist or trivialist reasons... shame realy.. this is just me looking at what goes on around me... just ignor my ramblings

I was there the other day, just got a stamp and I was in. Same with Gatwick on the way back....

  7. I wonder if we can eventually do away with this security at airports nonsense.

You guys ever walked into spain ... get off plane, pick up bags, go to little window and get passport stamped and pay airport tax, walk out door right next to passport window.

They dont give a flying f**k about secuirty over there.

I love how to be a friend of the US you must have every security system known to man.

I was in Spain the other day, couldnt belive it!. On another note I had almost the same treatment coming back into Gatwick.....no security at all. Just a stamp and I was in.
