  1. Nice shade of silver :P

Hey Nath we don't all read colour codes before impulse buys ;)

What a shame its smashed up, I should have left it in storage..

4 new conti sport twos on it before I sold it they are cheaper than you think *cough*

Definitely some good scraping in her. :(

  2. Had one of these myself, great car! Until I crashed it.. But I'd say thats very well priced. It's not an e36 328 so should still be worth more. Good condition e36 328s are going for ? 12k?

Kms are a hard one.. But NZ new the service history should be there.. Mine was averagely serviced and didn't miss a beat at over 200000km on the clock.

    All the best.

  3. Can I put it out there and say for all the mucking around to do this would it not me easier to sell your car for a bit less?

3000 is alot of tickets to sell, It would be different if it was a new car etc.I would think that when it came down to it you would sell hundreds on here as opposed to thousands..

probably, but I never do things easy haha.

I'm just putting it out there to see how it goes, I am

sure I can get the numbers there's ways and means. (time is my only constraint)

In saying that the car is still for sale if anyones keen..

  4. Isn't it amazing what a few drinks can do to spark ideas.

    Very clever idea.

Thanks for that, yea and we only had a couple had to drive see ;)

But everyones support will help this go ahead, I'm excited at the possibility of being abl to hand someone my keys for $X that'd be the strangest but best feeling.

  5. Joined, I would definitely buy a couple.

I think you would need to cap the number of tickets so peeps would know what odds they're buying into.

    haha cool good on you.

If I was to cap it at 3000 tickets how much would people be willing to pay?

I've got my reserve in mind for the value of the car and costs that I will incur for this raffle and profit is for charity, this will be done as legit as because it needs to be for my move to the UAE I can't risk my job on a few extra dollars .

  6. if you are going to do it properly you have to sell a limited number of tickets. ie 1000 tickets at $25 each.. that way theres a better chance of winning

Cheers for that, but its not really the idea sure I want to sell my car for X amount but to gain some profit on top is the secondary agenda and I want to achieve that to make it worth while.

braeden is good at maths get him to help you out in calculating how many "lollipops" you need to buy to go in the draw ;)

  7. My epic fail at maths

Haha hadn't even stopped to think to do the numbers. better chances than big wednesday huh?

Have got a good amount of people on the facebook page today, and noted the ones who don't want to be part of it. So if this keeps up over the next few days this might happen!

Definitely keen on the guild dogs to get the money, have a meeting with a guy at bayleys in the morning so will quiz him after our meeting.

  8. Sell lollipops for $10 each.. you get a free ticket to go into the free M3 BMW draw. You would have to send the lollipops & ticket to the buyers to keep it legal though... check it out further ... I'm no lawyer

Thanks Glen, thats what I'm thinking might have to happen aye!? Meet with the lawyer Saturday morning hope she can shed some light on it for me.

We could make this a good event! Ticket numbers may be capped but at this stage not to sure.. The aim is for profit but also to give away a decent donation.

Charity I'm thinking of is guild dog appeal... thoughts?

  9. haha guess the guy from wellington fell through?

Mean idea Hamish I'll def buy 5 tickets

Make the prize a tank of gas and you get the M3 for free

Yea he decided against it all good tho I'm still having fun.

Does anyone know the ins and outs for this sort of thing? Do I sell something to you and you go in the draw for the car? (researching at the moment)

  10. Joining when I get home. Should this go ahead, I'll def be purchasing a number of tickets!

Mint thanks, just as long as everyone is aware that this will go ahead providing I reach the 2500 people who will definitely buy 1 or more tickets. Until this time I will not be selling any tickets. (needing to work the best way for this any ideas?? Trademe is my thoughts so far)

  11. I know there was a couple that raffled off their house

But wasn't there another one recently where they sold paintings or something like that and if you bought one you went into a draw to win their house?

Potential loophole you could use perhaps?

You could call the raffle tickets art :)

there's always loopholes I just need to find it. Got a couple of days off work coming up so will do my research then.

During which time get people involved and joining the group!

  12. Tell all your friends on FB kids!

(you know, all those random people you met drunk one night in town and sent you a friend request)

cheers dude, word of mouth will be the success of this idea!! If I get a huge response by next week I'll go hard with the lotteries commisson and get this sused out.

Bit of a twist on selling a car aye??

  13. joined thats awesome idea! define profit though :P isnt that the whole point of this? theres the potential to make far more than the car is worth this way too probably

Yea your right there, I am concerned by the time I have left in the country. But there is potential to make money and I'm happy for that to go to charity legal reasons and all that I couldn't personally keep it.

  14. Lots of people leaving the country at the moment?

Yea gota job that takes me to the sand for 3 years, don't want to leave my car in storage. Will buy a new one upon return heres hoping anyway.

Am still very much looking into the possibility of doing this, and whether I will have the time to complete.

If anyone is already in a society and has done raffles before I would like to hear from you.

    Cheers

  15. Heres a thought.. I'm leaving the country in a little over a month and need to get rid of my car, after work one night the bar crew and I over a drink came up with the idea of selling raffle tickets with the grand prize being my car! For this to work over 2500 tickets would need to be sold. Who's up for it? Do you want a ticket?

There's almost 5000 members on this site who all love BMW's and I'm sure you could afford a $10 in the hopes of getting your hands on a 1999 BMW M3 Evo.

This is no joke, I'm keen to go ahead with this BUT only if I can get enough support. After trying to sell my car on trademe with many tyre kickers flaking out on the purchase I search for an alternative.

I'm wanting over 2500 people to join this group by the end of the month if we achieve this tickets will go on sale, you will be able to buy as many as you like :)

Comments are welcome on the facebook page or on here.

Please get involved guys if this is a huge success then profit will go to charity.

  16. So I'm looking at new springs and shockies probably?

    Paint work looks fairly good?

Wondering the condition of the leather? No photos maybe quite tatty?

Is there such a market for this car? I've just sold my m3 and there's obviously a market for them!

Or would I be stuck with this car or lose out the money spent?

Still keen on an e30 also if anyone knows of anything?
