  4. Hi guys n gals, hope everyone well. My son now has a 2007 335i with what you know has the N54 in it but has a shorted out MOSFET cutting out 3 cylinders i.e. 4,5,6 so car sitting doing nothing. We have purchased new set of upgraded MOSFETs but of course in mail coming ex overseas. What I was wondering was if anyone in Auckland had a cheap DME going that I could just scavenge 1 or 2 MOFETs from to get him going till new upgraded ones arrive Any help or advise much appreciated. Have a good day. Cheers Tony
  5. Great site, very interesting especially the Alpina pages....... but i can be abit bias LOL Thanks heaps for posting it
  6. Hi all, has anybody else seen this, Auction Number: 207208669 on Trademe?, i was pretty sure Alpina did not do a e36 318 coupe, but proof me wrong if so. Looks like a 318is going by the pic of engine. Quite nice looking car but. Cheers for now Sorry Link here, i'm abit like that too sometimes Alpina on Trademe
  7. Hey Cain, sure will miss it but will remember the great drives i had in it also.Cheers
  8. Sorry Kent, yes it just came to me B12 not B11, i was missing 6 cylinders. Cheers Tony
  9. Hi there, i'm sure i'm going to look back at the 9 years i had it and remember the joy and total control it gave me, such a fantastic car to drive and if i could have a would have loved to give all you guys and gals in bimmerland the chance to have the ALPINA experience at least once. They really are just magic to drive them as they were built for. Cheers for now
  10. Hey there, thanks for comments, will be sad to see her go but she's better off in a new home. Cheers for now
  11. Hey there Kent, long time no talk mate, not been down your way since the Mini Challenge Series in early 2007, we've got a GT3 now but not doing anything at all, Jeff very busy with business across the Tasman and myself flat out the same here in Auckland. Don't worry mate about the withdrawl symptoms!, they good and strong at moment as been surfing a few sites looking for the alusive E39 B10 i now dream about.....one day, one day. How is garage of ALPINA's? must be due for the B11 to hit the roads soon. I'll be down for that for sure. Catch up later mate
  12. Hi all, been quite sometime since i've been on the forums, so hi to you all again!. Anyway just like to drop a bit of a sad line on my behalf , i have sold my beloved ALPINA B10 which has been on TradeMe of recent months, time has not been on my side so the old girl has been sitting around doing nothing so thought time was here to find her a great new home and have some loving attention brought upon her by a new owner. So if your in Auckland and see a Black E34 ALPINA B10 out and about, give the new owner a warm wave and toot and if you get to talk to him (his name is Don) make him feel welcome into the realm of the BMW. As for me....... well i've already got withdrawl symptoms and looking on sites for a E39 B10 to bring in, maybe not now but i will again one day soon drive an ALPINA. Cheers for now
  13. Thanks everybody for input, all fine and working well.
  14. Hi all, can anybody tell me what olil to use in the LSD on my old girl. BMW say Castrol SAF-XJ 75-140. This stuff dammed expensive and having real trouble finding someone who has it. Can i use anything else or must use what BMW hype says. Cheers
  15. Thanks for your help, got 10mm seal and all fitted, just got to put all back together. Dammed amazing how BMW can charge $90.00+ for this seal when Seal Imports charged $12.50 and looking at them besides the BMW logo, no difference at all. Thanks Heaps
  16. Thanks for that, will do. Just noticed got the measuements wrong, should be 50 x 80 x 9. Most seal manufactures can do a 50 x 80 x 8, not sure if that 1mm would matter muc. Probaly prefer to go to a 10mm but as will still fit of course.
  17. Hi all, Just wondering if anybody had a spare pinion seal going, size needed is 50 x 90 x 9mm. Needed for the Alpina but i think all LSD diffs from the M series or maybe 535is would run the same size. Any help appreciated, can get one via BMW but 10 days ex Germany, but would like sooner.
  18. Hi Andrew, Urethane you say, do you get better /more precise handling control ect comprared to rubber?
  19. Hi Kiwi535, yer have emailed them for price and the 750 alternative. Cheers T
  20. Hi guys, was needing some opinions on replacement parts needed by the old girl (Alpina B10). Need to replace the upper control arms and was goiing to go with urethane bushings instead of rubber. Any opinions or past experiences would be much appreciated. I'm going to get them from Bavarian Autos in the states but not sure which way to go. Cheers Tony
  21. Brillant SIC, well done, i was just about to drop a line here as to finding out all about replacement rotors / pads ect for my Alpina and saw this here. Well done. Cheers Tony  :thumb:
  22. Hi Andrew, are you saying only 5 - 6 paid members so far? !!, come on guys get your $$$ out this is a good cause, $25.00 ain't going to break you. Be real and true to what BIMMERSPORT is about. Cheers KiwiAlpina (Tony) DRIVE HARD - LIVE LONG
  23. Hi guys, Congrats to you all for such a brilliant site & club. Bumped into a couple of you down Puke last Sunday but i really should have officially introduced myself, never mind must catch up sometime somehow somewhere. Well done guys. Cheers for now Tony KiwiAlpina DRIVE HARD - LIVE LONG :thumb:
  24. Hi Gus, thanks for that but yer have replaces tie rods late last year to attempt to remedy this, as for the rack, do you think it could just need nipping up?, Hi bmwsparkle, no mate have the genuine Alpina rims 8.5" up front and 9.5" out back. Cheers Guys Tony :thumb:
  25. AHHHHHH!!!!!!!, :banghead: My Alpina has these strange wobbles in the steering at about 90-100ks, feels abit like the wheel balance but have had that done so many times it's not funny, last time today accually. when you hit a bump or irrigularities in the road, the front end gives you that sort of speed wobbles affect you get on a bike. you need to either drive hard tru it or hit the brakes to slow down, either way it then dissipates. I've looked at all the immediate possibles as to way this is happening, i.e front end bushes, tire pressures, tires ect, so a'm totally lost. So if anybody techo on these things or even just offer something, i would be much appreciated. Cheers Tony KiwiAlpina DRIVE HARD - LIVE LONG :thumb:
