  1. as topic says, after a front right guard for '97 E36 323i (or similar that fits) in silver. cheers
  2. sorry to hijack the thread, looking for the same thing, out of a '97 323i. I found this which might help you in your search, it shows gear ratios between different trans (for the US, but assume it should be the same here) http://www.bokchoys.com/differential/GearRatios.htm its the final drive and redline limit that are the main differences in the e36 3 series.
  3. thanks guys i'll take a look just found this article which should be helpful...! http://www.unitedbimmer.com/forums/bmw-oem...eplacement.html cheers
  4. Howdy, I gotta '97 E36 323i, recently the fuel gauge has done some weird sh!t, intermittently jumping really quickly to Empty then back up to Full or sometimes anywhere in between. Its most noticeable when it hits Empty coz the fuel light comes on (and I mean the needle hits the *far* left side of the gauge, and jumps there really quick). It can sit on E for maybe a few minutes then suddenly jump back to its normal reading, or go to Full or whatever its quite random. Figured its probably a loose wire on a sensor or something since its so intermittent. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas? Cher
  5. Thanks mate, much appreciated - it most definately drives (and looks) better! Oh and thanks for the great price, thats half what my mechanic quoted!
  6. got jamex springs, i guess you could consider it superlow (45mm) looks good, although handles a damn sight better. stoked!
  7. thank you! that gives me some idea, cheers. ...eh, and now I find the big in my face post at the top of this forum about "lowering your car for dummies" - no wonder I couldn't search for it its an image http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=14472
  8. I've done a search otherwise I wouldn't have asked. Nothing what can find relates to a comparison between low and super low. The other issue is when finding a relevant post, having to wade through pages of off-topic responses to the original question. Seems a few members here go off on a tangent occasionally Hence why I thought it easier just to ask...Not to mention I thought it would be quite a straight forward answer... I'll just try google next time
  9. Great, that response seems to be consistant with many other replies on this forum That wasn't what I was asking.Sorry - just thought it may have been a simple question... So if I were to re-word, would a 45mm drop be ok and still warrantable? Or are there other factors to consider?
  10. yeah, so I just read here on one of the posts.its more the uneven front/back that i hate. the back tyres are inside the guard whereas the front tyres have about 60mm clearance to the guard. looks and handles like crap. had a mechanic check it he reckons the shocks are ok, just the springs are shot. wanting it more even all around.
  11. got an E36 323i, springs are shot, car is uneven left to right, front to back (all different!)looking at replacing with something but dont wanna spend a fortune. considering the jamex on tm.
  12. Whats is the actual difference in mm drop between low springs and super low springs? Is there an actual measurement between the two? Or have I completely missed something here?!!! Cheers
  13. hahahaa good observation. i've got a e36 and am getting a 328 exhaust for it soon - from single pipe to twin pipes from headers back. get any tip after that.
  14. i just tried it, I don't think it made a huge difference although it does feel a little more responsive instantly off the mark. still need more power!!!
  15. if it has a memory. i would have thought this would be true for the injection system, but the gearbox??? weird.
  16. far out, wonder if that'll make a difference to mine. its pretty sluggish unless you put your foot flat will try that out when it gets back from the mechanics.... airflow meter and crankshaft position sensor are poo poo'd

yeah man, you'll get hit hard with both duty tax (10% for car parts) and GST (12.5%) see here:http://www.customs.govt.nz/importers/Priva...oms+Charges.htm

    E36 323i mods

cheers. as an aside, got a price back for CAI for 323i from autopassion,... $459... ouch, no thanks. rather DIY something myself at that price. thats alot of moola for a couple of decibels
  25. I tried all 3 methods and none worked... SOOOooo... I rang Jerry Clayton and asked them. Basically you got it right Nick - it's method 1 BUT with one small addition - point the key at the f@#$ing rear vision mirror!!! Because its infrared it doesn't pick it up by pointing in random directions One downer though, only 3 of the doors lock/unlock. The drivers door does not work Not sure why. Anyways, thanks heaps Nick its a start. I'll take into BMW dealer and see what they say about the drivers door. Its door motor is probably f@#$ed Conveniently though I have a mechanical warranty....
