You could do a VIR on the numberplate think they are $10 or $20 on the website would tell you the owners details and if the plates were still alive and last time it had a wof

I have just rebuilt my e30 M20 engine and went to start it for the first time today. I left the spark plugs out and turned it over to pump the oil through the engine and I got no oil pressure at all. What would cause this? I can only think of a blockage in the oilways or the oil pickup or pump is faulty. I just want to make sure its not something obvious before i go pulling the engine out...

Also it can take a while to pump the oil thru all of the galleries\moving parts etc

I think its coming from the slave cylinder, and to add to that, i havent re-bled the clutch since the conversion which I should do,

Air wouldnt normally make a noise but would be spoungy or stick to the floor did you lube the fork\thrust bearing slide before you put it in? and use old or new hydrolic parts? if they had been laying around for a while with no fluid in them the seals may be stuffed you can either get a reco seal kit or just by a whole new cylinder but try bleeding it first and see what happens could be a cheap fix

My 318 has been losing a bit of water for the past couple weeks, 200ml every 3 days. I got under the car today and traced it back to what i think may be the water pump seal. Is replacing the pump the best way to go? Looked up new water pumps for $129, any help would be appreciated, cheers

Yeh dont think you can replace just the seals in the pump jst replace the whole thing and if its a cambelt driven engine you might as well do that and camseals tensioners etc while its apart unless its been done recently . i have only ever done a pump on a chain drive so cant tell you how easy or hard yours would be to do .. just you will need a special spanner to get the fan off the pully or grind down a old spanner wish i knew that before i attempted mine lol who gave you the price $129?

Would this fit a the E36 without going to replace the whole exhaust system?

As well as the inlet, is BMW 2" or 2.5"?

Most of all, if the fitment is possible where would I want to get it done or is there other places which I could go and get something like this done for hopefully under $300.

I brought one off trademe for my old mitsi cost me 90 bucks for the muffler and $150 from pitstop to fit it which included bending up a pipe because the old muffler mouted across the back of the car then out and the bracket it made a little diffrence to acceleration but not alot and it sounded really tinny also alot of them are just polished not stainles so they rust after a while if you just want looks and sound id recommend a higher quality muffler or if you want high performance ive heard alot of good things about remus exausts systems

Hmm I think you are right, just lucky. On the other hand I picked up a a guard and a bonnet in excellent condition from an Bimmersport member (Brent), very pleased with the condition and the price, so it's not all bad.

And if you are getting prices from wreckers they are always going to want an arm and a leg for parts compared to someone off trademe etc thats just tryna flick unwanted parts off or get a little extra cash for xmas lol

I'll try and source you pedals, fly and clutch (unless you want new)

I have a 1986 e30 320i, 4 door, manual, rolling body. My intention with it was to turn it into a project car, but I now have my eyes set on something different. The reg is on hold, still has manual pedals etc just missing engine (loom was cut), gearbox and drive shaft. It has average to tidy interior, leather front seats, I have two sets of door cards, one blue and one set black. Has a sunroof. They boot and lock is broken as someone tried to break in, and the drivers door doesn’t want to open, but there is not damage to the lock what so ever. The only thing is I want to sell the personalized plates without the car, so I will have to get some new ones (im not sure how I go about it, but cant be difficult)

Comes with p plate “320 IBâ€

Also an 85 2L straight six engine, done 163,000km which I brought off ae\r\\ trade me member but never used. It is missing throttle body I think. The wheels do not come with the car you must supply your own. Neither does the steering wheel, but the boss kit does.

Hey i have searched this and could not come up with a anser so il ask it anyway Will a e30 316 m10 box fit a 318 m10 e30 and are the gear ratios or anything different? and what other parts will i need to change for the conversion other than fly wheel drive shaft and pedals ???

Hi, you're right, it is an M10, but no, the 323's no good for you, only box that will bolt up is another M10 box.

Oh ok gues i will have to try track one down then thanks for your help!!!

I really desperatly need a e30 m10 318i v belt water pump pully pref local to auck so i can pick up ut can be posted if needs be

we have two e30 318i both have a rumbly noise\vibration coming from the rear on light de-acceleration mainly when going down a hill and slightly backing off the throttle anyone got any ideas
