Hi. Could anyone give me an indication as to reasonable offer for this and possibly a strategy for purchase? Thanks in advance. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...d=214883674#qna

I have used Ray twice. Very nice guy over the phone too! Thanks always to Ray especially since I am in a ''remote'' part of the country. Cheers.

Gidday. I used Ray of HELLBM (sponsor of this site) for my second hand inner tie-rod, after having failed a VTNZ check. I payed $50 (incl courier delivery to South Island). My mechanic fitted it for around $100. Buying new parts are obviously always going to be the best option, but quality second hand parts are perfectly acceptable in some cases. It has passed subsequent VTNZ checks too. Aye!

Hi I need a spare key. At $364.84 plus GST (Keyless Entry) and 105.26 plus GST (Standard) from Dunedin BMW dealer I decided to hold off, as I am off to France for a month in a few days. I wonder if anyone has purchased a key from an European Dealer (outside of Germany - i.e. France). I am taking my VIN number and will try anyway, but just wanted to know your thoughts...........good or bad idea? I know I can't control exchange rates, but even so I wonder if it would be cheaper? 95 e36 323i. Thanks in advance.

Gidday. I have a 95' 323 E36. As already said - make sure it has been serviced and generally looked after and for about 5K you will be happy. I have nearly 200k and will be putting it through the second (BMW) inspection soon. I have had no problems so far. I have the Jatco auto jerk too, but won't bother about getting it fixed as I found how to ''drive around it'' It has a bit of power too. The 323 has the same engine as the 325......brrrrrrrmmmmm! Buy a 323i say ps. This site has been valuable to me (especially as a newb)

Gidday. I am away overseas for a month. I wonder if there are any ''care'' tips for my 96'e36 323i (odo.196k). It will be parked outside (off street) my flat. I live in the Southern Lakes area and will be away from 1st OCT for the month. Anything useful appreciated. Thanks in advance. p.s. .....Because I love my baby!!

Just a 'shout out' to Ray for great service. I am able to carry out some repairs (change a windscreen washer pump)but I do not have access to parts etc...I am from the deep South Island (nearest dealership 350kms away). I didn't require brand new parts and was pleased to be able to resolve my latest problem with good second hand parts from HELLBM. Cheers Mate. dave.

Gidday. To pass my WOF I need to source a r/h steering tie rod and the pump that pushes the water to the windscreen is dead. I live in Queenstown (nearest dealership Dunedin) and would prefer to spend less on this project. So any good second hand parts that will suffice would be ideal. Thanks in advance.

Gidday. To W.O.F. (recheck) my 1996 323i (e36) I need to attend to a worn R/H steering tie rod and the windscreen washer is not distributing water to the screen. When I pull the activator arm on the steering column there is no sound from the washer motor and no water comes out. I have checked for blockages in the hoses and jets. I have also checked for blown fuses. I don't want my mechanic to begin a wild/golden goose chase. Has anyone else had a similar repair task? Any suggestions on how to save time in diagnostics are welcome. Would a scan maybe pick something up? Thanks in advance.

Thanks alot guys. I will look into a non keyless key from a dealer.

Gidday. I would like to replace a lost key. I have a 1996 e36 323i and it is was a keyless entry key. I live in Queenstown and have no dealership. Meantime I do have the spare. Thanks in advance for any advice i.e. price and process.

Cheers bro. I already had them removed and re-checked for WOF. I know that one is buggered due to cracked clear lens/plastic and has let in water. The other probably just a blown bulb? But not fussed at the moment. Looking forward to the new look with my cavity design. Aye.

Mine just failed WOF, because they don't work. I will take the easier road by removing them completely. Will have to design my own cavity covers though. Och Aye!
