I dont know, but it happened all of a sudden and now sounds VERY sick. Very very nice car. I bought it about 1yr ago still needing a little work to get the new stroker going, due to family comitments it never happened. Nice staight body in polaris silver, recent respray. Mint motor. Tidy interior. I don't know what springs and shocks are in it but they are firmer than standard and very tight. Rego on hold. I have owned 5 e21's, three of them being 323i's. My current one I paid $700 for,this included a spare 323i for parts. The car came with a good 2.7 stroker (not actually going yet )and had a recent respray. Interior and the engine bay are not what I would call mint, but all in all is a good clean car. So I would have to say that 7k is a hell of alot to pay. On a side note I think that the e21 320 baur that just sold on TM for $2500,was the bargain of the year.I wish that I had the money for it and if I had I would have Paid 7k for it. Happy hunting

I have never heard of the bolt holes not lining up although I do know you need to get a custom driveshaft if your using anything other than the e21 5spd, even when swaping from a e21 4spd to a e21 5spd you need to swap in the drive shaft from the 5spd. Try doing a searh in the e21 section at bimmerforums they are a great bunch of guys and anything you need to know will have been discused before so be shore o do a search before asking.

I know that something on the inlet side of a 731 head is bigger than the 200, but i'm not sure if it's the valves,ports or bothe. The exaust ports will be the same as the 200. Do you know any one witha spare 731 head?, as I want to upgrade from the 200.
