How big is the crack & is it the bottom or top half? You may be able to get it welded if not too big - but price will depend whether easier to buy a new one or fix it.

the crack is only around 2cm long on the bottom half.. il ask around where i can get it welded but i heard it will be hard to weld because its alloy. im going to try patch it up this week.

This is a 1997 BMW 318IS. Not an ordinary 318i. but it is Dual Cam. And Chain Driven so you wont need to change cambelts.. It is faster than 318 and 320i. But it is more economical than 320i. Always used with 95 octane

Done about 149900kms. almost 150XXXkms

Recent Full Service was lastweek. Changed oil, oil filter, cleaned air filter, Spark Plugs.

Passed the WOF couple of days ago. has new ball joints, New Front Tyres. I got receipts to prove.
