Can do small case and medium case LSD centres.

I'd be interested in a medium case LSD, could you let me have some more information

are they the proper helical/torsion LSD or the american snow diffs

Shouldn't you be wanting the medium case and using the larger, stronger Motorsport axles off the 325. That's what I'm using

Its a case of what is going to fit without major changes, it had been mentioned to me that the chassis has to be modified to make the medium case fit.

Also I 'm running a mildly modifies m44 engine and thought as the medium case LSD are like the holy grail to find so thought the small case that no one really wants would be easier to get hold of initially.

First issue is getting the ratio correct as was running a 316 gearbox and 444 diff and it was maxing out in 5th half way down the straight, left the line like a rocket though!

  3. The VW Golf is as follows

    It's a 1989 mk2 3 door 5speed manual golf small bumper white

    1.8 Digifant ,

It had brand new radiator just before Ibought it 2 years ago.

    I have done:

Full recon head, new head gasket ans hesd bolts

    De-cat & 4-2-1 manifold

Full sach clutch kit with skimmed fly wheel

    Chipped mk2 GTI ECU

Full gear selection bush kit including bottom of selector

    Just had new front pads.

It will come with front & rear vr6 cloth seats that need fitting.

It has a couple of wheel options depending what takes your fancy - 14' Steels in realy good condition or early mk2 spoked mags or there is a set of 5 P slots but they need tyres.

It will be sold with a new WOF as REGO.

  5. My blue E30 320 auto 4 door is for sale.

I have already changed the power steering rack.

It was waiting for a waterpump.

Have replacement front seats to replace the frayed thread bear ones.

Also have a replacement bonnet strut.

It ran really nice but was emptying water from the waterpump, I found part of the thermostate missing and think thats what killed the water pump

Reg on hold and no WOF but wouldn't take much,

    approx from memory 220k km

Will need to be trailered, break it of make it your choice but whole car must go, too many project and I'm getting ear ache.

    Offers around $450 - $400

Anyone wanting to switch sides I also have a 3door white mk2 VW Golf offers around $1500

  6. A friend is rebuilding an E36 318 standard auto after having the head rebuilt.

We were in the process of putting it back together today and noticed as we were about to do the timing belt that when you slot the cam pulley onto the end of the cam, there is a small notch on the internal radius of the pulley that has to line up with a recess in the end of the cam.

Once slotted together there is almost 2 timing belt teeth backwards & forward movement as the notch wobbles about in the slot.

Should there be a spacer or jacket of some kind that centrally positions the cam pulley notch into the slot on the cam, because as there is just a single bolt securing this in place at the axis as soon as the engine is started it's going to slip.

    Please advise

  7. I hope he(the 4wd owner) doesn't get away scott free. It will just give others a felling that they can do it to and eventually someone will be killed. edit: Like the guy who stabbed the tagger

If the little tw*ts don't get the message that racing and that this sort of thing shouldn't happen in residential areas they're too bloody thick & loosing a few won't even get noticed.

  8. As a BMW newbie I am slightly green in these matters.

But I have just purchased a '90 320 6cyl which had been stood unused for a while, before picking up the original owner started her up and water came flooding out of the waterpump area.

He suggests that there is a seal that can perish if unused causing it to fail.

    a. Is this true? If yes where will I get a replacement seal?

    b. If not where in the Glenfield area will I be able to get a new waterpump or refurbed item that is not going to break the bank, as I also need a number of other items.

  9. Are you fellas interested in getting (or already know) how to get the football from the UK ?

I download Match of the Day each week and you can get a huge amount of the games via other sources. PM me if your interested.

Not just the premiership stuff either, you can get the Championship stuff too.

I refused to have sky sports in the UK as every time you turned it on there was footie from South America, Italy or Spain aswell as the UK stuff. No disrespect intended just too many poncy actors playing the game these days, unlike when I was a kid and Peter Read and Ian Rush took pleasure in beating a player by taking the ball round them rather than attempting it and diving!!!

Rugby League all the way mate I'm in heavan at the moment with the NRL Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday

  10. Hi all, have just bought my first BMW, it;s a '90 320 6cyl that needs a bit off TLC.

Steering rack, front shocks, and a waterpump problem.

It's been stood for a while and when started water poured out from around the waterpump, the old owner said that the seal perrishes and will need replacing is this the case, can someone give me a propper description of what I will need to do.

I currently have 3 VW Golfs x2 mk2 and a mk3 so rwd and BMW's are all new to me so knowledge would be appreciated. I'm widenening my horizons.

Some one also mentioned that the front shaocks are a VW Golf setup can anyone confirm this
