  1. is that what they're referred to as... Nick021's got some on his coupe and they look really mint. If you're making this a showy cruiser i would actually go smoked indicators and tails to look different to factory later models, LTW's, lowered and some europlates. Nice car, dont think you see full leather in 316i's all that often.

yea not many 316i's come in leather interior, was fortunate enuf to find one so its a relief

was goin to go for smoked lights al around....

  2. No worries, but its a bit of a contradiction when you say 20" wheels and you want stability and balance etc... Even 19's are really just 'bling' factor.. A decent set of 17's or 18's (like the LTW's) would be a better choice, reading up on your car club also sounds you like to get on the track? Surely the large wheels would hinder track performance?

    Just a few thoughts... ^_^

i do like to race bit not with tis car cause its a 1.6 litre and yea auto too so good car for project so i thought butting 18 or 17 what ever the size of teh mags are it shouldnt matter cause its only for show not for race purposes... i am still hunting for a rolling body to start my project for race....

i agree with you when you say that larger wheels will hinder track performance

  3. HEY Guys n Girls

I bought a 97 316i few months back as a luxury cruzy family car.. by over time i figured i wll slowly turn it into a show car cruzer ... with style..

so i started the idea from basics.

so i got a fully standard car with full leather interior and first i tinted the windows.

The pics are not perfect as it was taken from a cheap camera hahahaha... have to get proper pics soon

  4. well i own a E36 myself (i think ) i have to confirm on that all i know is that its a 97 bmw 316i i am very happy with it especially with full leather interior..... its the first time i have owned a bmw

bmw makes alot of orsome and classsic and ground breaking cars..... hence they are very popular and demanding by many business ppl.... i guesss bmw started off with a normal street look and slowly moved on to a business / professional / rice look and with the M series still keeping young enthusiasts interested int he cars for the power etc.....

at the end of the day i think that all BMW's are orsome and regardless of what model they are we all are proud of our own cars cause everyone has different opinions and view on cars and ppl most of the time end up buying a bmw that they want to be in and are happy to be driving it

so i guess there is not much point debating if E30 or E36 or E46 is better. i recon they are all orsome cars and as years go by bmw is making more orsome cars for the future that i am sure we all will enjoy driving it one day ....

sorry to be writing a bog story but its like 8am in the morning and i am still sleepy and yea thought i would jst put my 2 cents in.....

  5. Thanks for the advice ..... ummm the other problem i have is that the back windows dont go down or up when using the switches in the back seats...

and <_< also the heater unit has its own mind i gues it turns on when it feels like and off too.. but wen i try pressing it sometimes it listens to me but most of the time it does its own thing

lights - my fog lights are not going an and the two buttons next to the headlights knob when i press them nothing happens..

    anything i should get done?

would it be a wiring fault in the car?

  6. Common problem....broken wire in the fuel tank sender unit. The sender unit needs to come out and be rewired

is that a big job? how much would it roughly cost for me to get it done? jst an idea roughly

fuel is one of the problems i have some other issues i have with it will put that up after i get this sorted.

  7. hey guys and girls

i am new to the whole BMW scene but i am enjoying driving my BMW B) . I have bought a 1997 BMW 316i and regardless how much i fill petrol in it the fuel guage never seems to move from empty  and the empty light stays on all the time which makes it harder for me to figure out how much petrol is left in the car

can anyone advise me what could be wrong with it and what is the best way of goin about it please.

many thanks to everyone in advance
