Would like to see her back to her former glory, but I don't have the time or resources. Photo is from about a year ago, when still on the road. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=414025236

Another query? If I get the work done, how's the cooling system ie water pump etc, gonna like the fact that it's had trans fluid running through it. Am I gonna have to replace any of that, or take any particular precautions?
-
Looks as if a little coolant got in the trans, probably even a lot seeing as it's just sitting there now. Will a decent flush sort this, bought plenty of ATF when considering limping it home, before finding that the fluid was in the radiator.
-
My car decided to transfer it's trans fluid into the radiator, it chose to do it up the coromandel,4 hours from home, just to make my life more interesting. I understand the pipe holding the trans fluid in the rad is no longer intact, and a new radiator is neccessary. What I need to know is, will this be the end of the prob. Have been told that it is more than likely that the trans was probably the source of the prob, and that some part of it is likely at fault, causing too much pressure through the cooling system. I've got no problem putting in a new radiator, but a new trans, and radiator on a 21 year old car is getting very close to no longer viable. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yup, M20B25. It's Schnitzer badged, but don't know what, if any, mods have been done in that respect. Only had it a year. How do I go about resetting the ecu?

Hi all, Changed my reversing lamp yesterday (only one going since I bought the car), and since then my EML light has been light, won't even turn off with ignition. Last time it came on was when I left my lights on, and battery died, again ign off, and only EML glowing. But once bat full again, light went out. What does EML stand for, and how do I make the bloody thing go away. Cheers in advance,

Somebody needs to update Wiki then. It says the tuning side only been going since '87. Great source of misinformation. The rims are Atev, later changed to Azev. And it's a jap import. Will get some pics soon, just came back from painters yesterday, and not the weather to be out taking photos today. Cheers

Recently bought an '89 E34. Got little schnitzer badges on it, subtely lowered, and a very throaty sound to her. The rims are not ACS, but a german manufacturer that changed it's name and branding in '89. Couple of questions, is there any way of checking id via vin number etc, and were ACS making there own rims in '89, as they only been going for 2 years at the time? I don't really care if it is authentic or replica, still an awesome car, but would like to find out a little more about her history. Another curious aspect. The Schnitzer badges are just a little over 1 x 4 cm, unlike any I've seen on other photo's etc. Which makes me a little sus, although it is an old model.

Hi all. Just bought my first BMW, a '89 525i was sold it as an AC Schnitzer, and told Mags came from factory. It's had a few owners over the years, so not sure how true this is. Anyhow, it's wearing a set of 17" Atev Type "A" 5 spoke alloys, and one of the centre caps is from a different mag. So I am after just one centre cap. Apparently the company changed it's name circa '90 to Azev, and still produces the same rims, although I can't seem to find a supplier in NZ, and would prefer 2nd hand, good cond. Thanks in advance.
