-
most people do thatbrought my car with them already in it. not sure on price,
-
Where did ya get them from? what sort of $$ahh i see. bilsteins are good, i think theres konis in mine and they are pretty good too
-
Yeah, I've got aftermarket springs, but they've sagged a tad.. just enough to make them loose when hoisted
Just want shorter shocks so they don't over-extend.
-
Anyone know where to get some in NZ? welly region even?
the usual, failed wof due to spring sag, put spare struts in but it looks like a 4wd!
-
As per title,
cheers
Off what?
m50, m30, m20?
-
Good stuff Ray, I haven't been on a pc in months and saw that and thought "bimmersport might have a way of getting my spare rims to the dude."
Beaten to it!

There was actually a kit on tardme about 2 years ago to set up a business doing this... I always hoped someone local would buy it so I could've got my 71 merc tyres done.
Looked like a cross between a bench grinder and a guard-lip roller. And the price of the rubber paint...
Big money.
-
Are they the ones where they grind the sidewall and then apply a rubber "paint"?
-
I used 2 jigsaw blades to release mine. Just poppped them down the sides.

Good ep... I think ferrari wanted him to be the stig as he's the only one they'd let drive the fxx

The copper ring?edit: So does anyone know what this thing actually does?
On earlier cars it was the connection between the wheel and column for the horn. Couldn't run a wire up there if you're turning the wheel all the time!
On yours its either horn or airbag... probably the horn.
Cars have done it that way for frickin ages. Not sure what they use for the airbag (never had an airbag car myself so no need to pull the wheel off)
btw, the e34 section of bimmerforums has that fix... and many others!

This is the kinda success story you tell your grandkids. Good on him really. Props
I want a T-shirt!
Apparently the buyer has paid already!
-
AAWWWW... so sad.
Wish I had the money because that's a beautiful colour on an e34
good luck with the sale!
edit: where did you get the precut tints from and are they any good?
-
So you got it sussed now obviously?
(Mine kept saying "trailer light" for a month and I thought it was because of aftermarket wiring. Turned out to be a bloody fuse in the trailer light module... this thing has bloody fuses everywhere!)

Do e38 wheels have the same hub bore as e39 or e34/e32?

From e34 bentley manual
From the outside looking at mine.License plate light, removing and installing
1. Open trunk lid.
2. Remove screws retaining license plate light assembly.
3. Remove bulb and install new bulb.
NOTEInspect
bulb contact springs for damage and corrosion.
Replace lens assembly if necessary.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Did your dash tell you it was out?

Lol... I get that for spending hours on the road and copping it all the timeJesus calm down.
I can't honestly say I have ever seen any place check fogs for alignment and previous employment, I spent about 10 hours a week at VTNZ (*&*#^%%)If they arent properly adjusted they shouldnt get a WoF, just like the low and high beam lights.
-
Aimed????... Every POS that drives with them on (subarus, silvias, mitsis, e30s etc) never have had them aimed... Most haven't been aimed in at least 15 years! Especially if some tard has just "fitted this intercooler, yo"Front fogs are fine, they are aimed low to cut under the fog anyway and shouldnt shine in your eyes.
Ever kerbed your spoiler? Then your f*ckin fogs are probably lookin for possums
I get the f*ckin things in my eyes all the time and I drive a friggin truck!
They are NOT cool, they make you look like a wannabe.. why not get neons while you're at it... tossas
Hate any fogs. unless it's actually foggy.
Can't wait for the cops to have a blitz on this.
That's just me tho.

My old car after driving 15-20ks to work one morning... and I live 200 metres from the beach so it wasn't snow!

lol... I bought a box at the last moment about 5 years ago for the mrs on valentines day... It was full of weevils (sp?) from the shop they came from apparently. Place got closed down and fumigated!
Had to send the box to cadbury and they sent us some back. The mrs wouldn't touch them!
I'm a cherry ripe and flake fan tho!
Best mates father-in-law worked for cadbury in oz. Had heaps then!
