i pick up a new one from EML for $440. thanks anyways,i just want to get it back on the road for now.i have one with some wear in it , you can get them rebuilt at franklin cams in pukekohe .
i also have a complete , excellent 2L engine from a nz new 320i you could buy for $500 or offer me enough and i might sell bits off it .
whats the millage on your motor .

does anyone know where i can get a cam shaft at a reso price.team mc millan wants $895 for a new one! ,the crwd down towards hamilton are offering $325 for a reconditioned one.

as far as i know its the original trim,ive asked the dealers at newmarket what the 'A' in 320iA is for and they said it just refers to the trim.but the guy who owned it before me had it painted black to match his 911, so who knows he might have done the leather too.i beleive the leather is a custom retrim .. is it not?
ive got twin pipes all the way thru aswell which is odd cause all the other 320i,s ive seen seem to have a single pipe.

not sure what the later engines are like but if you remove your filter box you may need to make a bracket to support the weight of the intake .(in my e30 the filter box is bolted onto the chasey).
i only chucked a pod on because it worked out cheaper than buying a standard filter,but now i wish i had left it as it was- all it seemed to do was suck more gas.

might be worth getting a 'haynes'manual the one ive got has the diagram in it and it has already saved me a few bucks.
if you want to take a trip out west you can grab a photo copy of mine.sorry dont have a scanner.

took off my rocker cover and found one of my rockers had shatterd in half.
the valve has popped back up so i dont think it jammed.

cehecked compresion,4 cylinders @ 150 ,2 @ 130-140.not sure if its a huge difference.

might have to bite the bullet & take the head off,it will be worth doing the valves anyway.ill check the cambelt as i go.

its an auto so it poped when i hit the kickdown,ive been told that if the cambelt had jumped it would be hard to start or would not start at all.i will check it out anyway.I just want to be sure what the problem is before i go ripping out the radiator or head to get to it.

:banghead: iI over-reved my engine causing it to imeadiatly to lose power.theres no smoke and starts okay,idles a little rough but backfires through the intake when reved.
at 1st i thought it was a head gasket or valve related but there seems to be no mechanical fault and theres no water surging in the radiator.
im thinking it could be timing related or an intake leak. the timing can not be adjusted manualy as it is motronic .
is there a common fault relating to censors or the computer ? any other suggestions?arrrrrgh!

has anyone come across the clear tail lights for e30`s ,ive only found e36 lights.im sure theres are market for the older ones.

had a black FORD F250 7.3LTR V8 turn up at work with all the bells & whistles.
I know they cost a fortune so the budget cant be to tight,could get 3 toyota hilux for that.
