Nah, its not that its too slow, just that i wasnt aware bmws had such high maintenance requirementstoo slow aye?
And i also wasnt aware id have to spend $2000 AFTER sale to make it WoFable...
My assumption is that this sort of cost can only get worse, so im getting out before getting stuck with a high cost vehicle
p.s its as quick as Grants...

psimon, did you own a skyline before your bimmer?
-
Hmmm
$110 US is $160ish NZ
I had no idea the exchange rate was so good!

Looks like we just need a bar that fits....
When your driving in a straight line the bar would be under tension anyhow - and cornering puts the towers under compression. You just need a bar that fits - not an adjustable one.Need to have brackets on the end of the pipe, that can "wind" out... so you can put a bit of tension on it, pushing top of shocks out just a fraction..
Not AS MUCH use having a strut brace that just sits in place, with no tension.
You can pay $300ish for a piece of metal that will do the same thing as a $100 piece if you want Carl..
Seems some of us are on a lower budget, and prefer to shop around for good deals..
Granted, i paid $400 a pop for the ones on my skyline, did a great job.. but the $115 one on my vtec prelude prior to skyline was just as good..
Shrug, each to their own..

It is easy to make an adjustable bar for the front, max cost $100 for parts, cutting top plate, drilling and welding.
Carl, why go to that expense, when you can just get them made here?
All we need is a piece of solid alloy/steel between the top of the struts..
Smokin is onto it.. i believe..

Are you taking orders?RD are $200 to BMW club members.
-
btw, keen for group buy.. if they do the job.

Where from Grant, and how much?
Yup, bang on Carl.I'm assuming RD is racing dynamics.

Need to call a couple of these Auckland shops, and get some prices...
-
Keeps your front end and rear end SQUARE, STIFF and STRAIGHT.
Ever driven a go cart Carl?
Experienced no flex at all?
Sure, i only get a little bit of sideways movement of the body when turning, but the strut braces remove 95% of that.. firms the cornering up like you wouldnt believe...
Always had strut braces, always will.. make a huge difference.. to me, at least.

Thanks Camparts shop..... don't think they are any further south than the bombays......
aucklanders.....
Yeah, lol, Aucklanders seem to think that the whole country knows what/where "Auckland specific" shops are...
-
Nice, excuse the ignorance, but what/where/who is Woottons?
Thanks!

Had front and rear strut braces on the skyline...
Took them off one day, to see what they actually did, and damn, they make a huge difference.
Each to their own Carl, but i definitely dont want them for cosmetic value.
Im selling my 325

Id prefer to own a newer car, where most stuff is still sweet, and leave it running sweet.. i dont intend on heavily modifying cars, including the turbo i buy..
My decision isnt really up for debate, if you want to ask questions about the sale, please post, otherwise...
yeah..
