  1. Awesome E30 ACS you have there.

  2. I was doing a search in the roof last weekend and found the trim that goes over the gear lever with the hair in it (keep it seemly). If you are down this way and want it, let me know.
  3. Just love the new E30 pic. Much more flattering. I see you still have the AC wheels.
  4. Thats what is on the papers. It feels like it is but I don't think so. Cheers Kelvin H
  5. I am like you. I hadn't noticed that many. With mine sounding like a V8 I get a few looks so at least some will know the town has some nice ones. Mine is 64000km one previous family owner, red with grey leather. My 2nd love.......
  6. You folks will have to come south one weekend. I have put mine on 18's now and it is a little thirstier but still good.
  7. They all could of had a piece of it cheap this morning. All these wierd and wonderful symbolic proceedures never work for me but this one did. Now if I can code a new key, my life will be fulfilled.I see you still have the Schnitzer wheels on. When I was looking for the E34 manual this morning, I found the orriginal blurb sheet for your car if you want it.
  8. I have 2 hand books. Both look the same but one says refer to seperate Alarm system information sheet, the other gives you all the guff. Problem was I couldn't find the good one and it was only when I went to get tidy to go out, I found it under a pair of shorts. One can conclude, I was meant to find it, eh...................
  9. Part 2. The book I found says wait 15 minutes(which I did) but after the hazard lights go off, you are now waiting for the red light in the vent on the top of the dash to go off. Once it does and the 15 minutes is up, the system is now officially deactivated. Open the door for the first time and experience the joy of the alarm not going.. Turn the key off and hop out, shut the door and hit the close button on the remote and it will do what it is meant to. The joy of getting to this place is SOOOOOOOOOOOO good.
  10. Oddly, I was able to solve my own problem. In case anyone else is bad enough to do the same, here is the solution. Connect the battery(alarm will start), shut the door and lock it.(alarm still going but thats OK). Unlock door and open it and wait 30 seconds(alarm will be going all this time). At the end of 30 seconds, miracle of miracles, the alarm will stop. Get into car with a good book, close the door and turn the key to Position one. Toyota, the alarm will start up again and will keep going for another 30 seconds. At the end of 30 sec, the alarm will stop but the hazard lights and the red light in the vent on top of the dash will keep pulsing. This will go on for 5 minutes approx. At no stage open the door, alter the key or turn anything on. Read your book. End of Pt 1.
  11. Hi, I am annoyed with myself as I left the inside light on for 4 days(I had pulled the cover down straight after closing & locking door). I could only get in yesterday via the drivers door on the key(the others were dead locked) but managed to get the battery out to recharge it. I put it back fully charged, drop the leads on, the alarm immediately goes off, hop out lock the doors then hit remote to re sync the system but no joy. The alarm just keeps on going. Remote battery is fine and has never been a problem. On one of my many attempts at something different, I put the key in the ignition and turned it on thinking that would stop the factory installed system. The motor was happy to start but the alarm kept on going. I am running out of favours with the neighbours so can someone please offer some help. Thanks.
  12. Could I offer some info on getting it to ChC having just got my 540 down from ACKL, stick it on a coastal freighter and $500 later it is in Lyttleton, untouched if not a little salt sprayed. I got the Ferry crossing rate of $600 one way, plus a $80 air fare and gas of say $100. I saved nearly $300 and only missed out on getting to know it better, earlier. Hope that gives an alternative.
  13. Hi to all the followers. My dear son did this listing for me and told me about it later, like tonight. I see you have found the Trademe listing that I organised and pretty well everything is there. It appears that one of the last replies came from someone who has spoken to the chap I bought it off. I feel like I have let him down in a way as the E30 was just the bee's knees for me, until I found my 540. Now I am truly in love. I have helped it breath a little and it is turning into a fire breathing monster. Uh, oh sorry, time to wake up again and stop letting my thoughts wander. Yes, the steering wheel is genuine AC, as are the wheels and the kit etc, etc. The above gent felt happy telling me he was positive it was one of only about 4 sedans in NZ with the same set up. The local dealership, once they found the "other" chassis number, were happy so there you have it. I am not gready so don't want the earth but if a steeper price will swing it, let me know. Didn't know about this site. I have joined Bimmerfest not knowing about you folk but, now I know. Thanks KH KHKH
