You mean to say that even on a tranny fluid change I need to reset the ECU like on engine oil change? During the weekend I did the fluid change and pumped about 6.5Ltrs when another guy was in the car going through the gears from R-n-d-4-3-2 on interval of 30 sec each. After the change the gears are smoother and everything is ok so far.

Thanks man for the Intel, is G3 another type of ATF formulation that can be found on different brands e.g. Castrol, Caltex, Mobil like Dex II, Dex III? I have tried using Caltex Dex II-D and BP Autran DX II, I don’t think if any of these are full synthetic. If ATF is not full synthetic, does it mean that it will hit up quickly and dry up?

Hi! guys, I have just joined the forum and I would like to revive this thread. I have BMW 525i E34 1995 with a A5S300J tranny and want to do ATF change. One of you have a similar transmission and wanted to do a fluid change. Can you please tell me if you managed to change your ATF and which Fluid did you use and how many Litres. I would also like know how it turned out after the change.
