Its been years since ive posted anything but im trying to do some research i purchased a e30 from brooke30 in 2011/2012 fell in love with the car and then some twat decided to steal it.... i then moved over to Melbourne. I do know that the car was then found and moved on to a new home. I want to know if anyone knows where it may be now?

E30 touring germany import. although the change of ownership form says 1st registered in UK

149000 on the clock/chassis,

interior is all cloth and in pretty good nic compared to the wrest of the e30s iv seen

sunroof works perfectly and no leaks

the IS lip was fiberglass and due to the height it is now in the bin..

the car in general is in great condition and is nice and straight

this was previously a auto 2L previous owner converted it to 2.5L manual,

this car has not missed a beat! it was offically the car i wanted! lol

im after $6500 but all offers are welcome

also comes with Mtech 2 fiberglass sideskirts.

You'll need an M20B25 from a later model car. I've done the swap. it's very easy. Just don't stuff up reinstalling the transmission like I did.

Also would reccomend doing the usual maintinence items whilst the motor is out the car (cambelt, tensioner, waterpump, ect ect)

And you'll want a better diff ratio going from a 320i

yeah i was planning on doing those usual maintenance things.. by later model you mean around 1990/1991?

AND are you saying id need a diff too!?!

im after a M20B25 as the B20 is not enough power and my engine is giving me problems..

if there are any out there with decent kms and good condition I.E doesn't need any work other than replacing it with my original engine.. it would be greatly appreciated

+1 though it sounds like money is going to be needed to be spent on this engine, and with a few B25s on here and on TM for around the 500 mark, it makes sence to upgrade.

Someone in the race series might be interested in the B20 for spares as well which further offsets the cost

On a slightly more serious note: Kurt would probably be best to get it diagnosed properly before you make any big financial commitments to either getting a new engine or whatever the future might hold.

what year is the engine with the stuffed bearings?

my E30 320i has developed a knock in the engine which i suspect is the bottom end bearings? and i was wondering is it worth getting the engine repaired? or would it be a better idea to get a new engine? bare in mind it has done 180xxx kms?

i was thinking of putting a M20B25 in it, and i was wondering if i do that, how much extra work would i need to do other than dropping the engine in?

ANY help would be appreciated!

Depending on spec, I'd say you got the much better end of the deal.

Hell, I'd trade my E30 for a Quad Core Mac Pro with Dual 30" monitors in a second.
