Err. If he has the completely mechanical gearbox with no electronic valve body then it should work fine. As long as its not the other way around having the gearbox with the electronic valve body and not the electrics in the car to go with it...

Just after some very serious opinions?

Whats my 1.8L engine worth? I am looking at taking the engine & 'box out & swapping over to something else in the distant future - so was wondering what I'd be looking at selling my engine for? I will be doing a few small mods to if "for now" just to tickle my "itch" until Im ready to do a conversion to something so engine wont be completely standard - eg exhaust, CAI, new leads/plugs, currently has new belts but may redo them again when I remove it - will basically give it a good service before removable. So what prices would I be able to sell it for generally? eg- engine with box would be the best way to go or seperate?

I wont be doing a conversion for at least nearly a year (hence the reason of doing small mods) so just looking at what I could get for it when I DO, do the conversion.

EDIT: Box may need a small rebuild as it slips from 1st - 2nd - or could be less minor I dunno? But 3rd & 4th are all good. And engine idles OK (hence why I will give it a small service soon & tune etc cos I want to). And its only done 180 000ish Ks - all legit.

Ive got a e30 318

i got it with the trans buggered, it had the eh type 4hp22

so i seen a "regular" 4hp22 on trade me for $100 i was stoked so i got it.

when i changed the gearbox i pulled the eh plug out from the left hand side and of course had no where to put the plug back into so i just left it hangin. my trans fluid hoses were differant so i hooked up an aftermarket trans oil cooler. the coolers all good.

but i just cant seem to get the gears to change out of first, talked to the guy who i brought it off it worked in his bmw he took it out of.

atf is topped up,

i just noticed that my kick down cable on the throttle body doesnt retract. it actually stops the throttle from opening up about half the way and when theres no throttle the kick down cable is loose as

if it helps the gearbox i brought was from a 320 e30

Can i use this gearbox in my 318 which use to have an eh trans, and what do i do with the eh plug(its just hangin out under the car lol)

Does anybody know where I could find the fuse Diagram for my 318? I notice a few are missing, but dont notice anything in or on the car not working?

Oh and Im referring to the fuse box in the engine bay (passenger side) with the small 20, 15, 10, 7.5 fuses etc. Just want to know what is for what & what the missing ones are for

#3 15a Extra fan 91 degrees celcius (air conditioner)

if your looking from passengers side it should 1-15 for the top row and 16 - 30 on the bottom row
