It can't be that because i took the little plastic bit that pushes on the switch when you close the door so the switch doesn't close contacts so the car thinks a door is still open and i can put the windows up and down with the door shut, only problem if i do that my alarm thinks a door has been left open, so really need to fix whatever it is that is making the switch have to be in the open position, by the way its any door that can be opened and the windows will work, not just a specific one so dont think it is the worn loom thing your talking about.

no previous owner took the heater out and mirrors are not electric anymore as have been changed too?

Just checked all fuses and there all fine, i noticed when pushing the button in and out that the door pushes when it shuts and i can hear a sort of relay click noise from by the glovebox? QuickSilver: My E30 is gloss black so dont think it was me in kelston

Im in Auckland how much do you think it would be to send up here? Also are they very hard to replace is there much involved? Cheers.

In my 1986 e30 the windows only go up and down when one of the doors are open? Anybody have any ideas on what it could be? Cheers.

Ok thanks guys, bloody e30's ive just had one thing after another break on it, almost every week something different shits itself where can i get a new relay?

Where is the relay? In the fuse box? Cheers.

The indicators in my e30 have been working only sometimes, like they will come on for a few blinks then stop working, and somtimes they wont come on at all and if i flick the stick up and down fast it will work again for a bit then stop again, now they dont seem to be coming on at all. Anybody have any ideas on what is wrong? Cheers.

I was driving along just crusing in my car not heavily breaking or anything, and the break assist just stopped working, when i touch the breaks there is a hiss noise coming from the glovebox area under the dash and now to stop i have to push the pedal very hard. Every time i push the pedal down now there seems to be a vacuum leak coming from under the dash. Anybody have any idea where the leak could be coming from and how i could fix it? Cheers.
