Between ten and twelve thou cold as stated in Bentlys Manual..with the car left to stand overnight..and there is no wear on the valve stem and it has not concaved.. I hear so many "Tappetty" Bimmers it is not funny!! The Ironical thing is this seens to be unique to New Zealand. In Germany and the U.K it just does not happen..

Does anyone with a Five Series do thier own Tappets?? I have one hell of a prob to get the clearences right on my E28 535i please help...Its sounding like a sewing machine.. Thanks in Advance

Underneath the 535 Logo on my Inlet manifold is a small pvc hose about the thickness of a milk straw and about the same color.. it goes past the firewall and under the car..does anyone know what it is?? This is the M30 Motor.btw and the red dot marks the spot the tube comes from Thanks in advance

Just how importent is changing the Fuel Filter in the Big Six My 535i has not had a filter change in almost five years.. (Hiding Head in Shame)..but now seems to be running like a pig could this be the cause..

Hi can anyone tell me if there is any advantage or disadvantage using an NGK Spark Plug over the original Boch? Also can someone recommend a Good BMW Tech in the Wellington area(prefer Hutt) Thanks in advance and what a great local forum..good to see Kiwi Forums after so many English and Yank ones. Cheers
