Thats the keys i mentioned above, that has the easy access tab, which is unlike the key fob I have, which is frustrating. Looks like I will have to pop into the dealer and see what they think ...... not looking forward to that.

Hi I have a E61 without comfort access, and pre LCI. From all the videos I can see only the LCI key fob has a easy access battery fob tab that you can replace, but the key fob I have does not have this. I therefore assume its using the induction charging. My issue is that I think the battery is fading, as the distance I need to be to the car to lock or unlock is becoming less and less. I only have the one key too as its an import. I have yet to go to a dealer to ask, as I am sure they will say to get a new fob or set of key fobs, and I just wanted to see if anyone out there knew anything about it, before I go in and have to remortgage for a set of keys. Cheers - JSG

No I don't believe they made any money on it due to how it was handled, I dont know why it took that many boxes to figure it out, it was a circus. I wish I could tell you more about it, but was kept in the dark for most of it, quite annoying.

You could be right, I am not 100% sure. As far as I had been made aware these were the first in NZ, but on loan.

It was a media/press only event, I am sure there will be something similar very shortly for dedicated M owners.

Does seem like we have both had some bumpy experiences, the only reason the gave me four gearboxes was so they could charge Audi for them and the labour, good service or customer satisfaction was not really part of the equation. That and combined with the damaged that would happen to the vehicles each and every time they were in just broke me, dented doors, curbed wheels, reserving an SUV into it, I just had to move on to somewhere else. I hope things will get better, so far they have, but if things stay the same, I guess on the bright side I am already used to it.

It dried up over the day thankfully, so we got to give it some in the wet and the dry.

Bad service, and a brand that doesn't care !!!!! I have had an S5, RS6 V10 and an R8 V8 and I dont think they know much about customer loyalty or good service. Audi R8 V8 – Road Tested – Long Term Review – The Daily SuperCar ?

Yes I think that might have been us out that way. They are quite big alright, I'm 6'6" and found the m3 quite roomy which surprised me.

Hey Guys I was amazingly lucky to be one of the few who got a chance to test drive the new BMW M3 and M4 at the NZ launch last week at Hampton downs. First ones in the country, flown in on loan from BMW Australia. Some of you may know me already, John from AutoClique NZ in Wellington. Used to be an Audi guy but have moved over to BMW, for many many many reasons. I had expected these cars to be good, as its an M3 and M4 which are benchmark products, and I had recently road tested the 435i M and was very impressed, but I have to say my mind was blown after testing both of these cars. I hope to get a full review with photos and a breakdown of the day out soon, but if you guys have any questions or info you would be keen to know just fire away, and will do my best as they flooded us with info on the day.

Well that made a world of difference, Once i got those screws off it alloud me enough room to get my hand in behind the grill which made the whole job very easy. Once the first one was off then used that grill hole to pop my hand in and sort the second one. Within 10 mins it was all done. Thank god I had a Torx 30 bit. Not a massive mod by any means, but she looks way better and more aggressive now. Thanks guys. I had wanted to keep the chrome grills undamaged but most of the clips seemed to snap taking them off, they seemed very brittle, which must be due to the heat of the engine over time.

Yeah i had figured out the rubber bit at the front, but was not so keen on taking the bumper off which from M-Spec's link indicates you have to do. Thanks guys, look like its time to take those front screws off and see what happens

Hey Guys I'm kinda new to this forum, picked up a white E61 550 M Sport just before the xmas break. Pretty happy with her, couple of things here and there i was to tweak to begin with, nothing major, but as they say you got to start somewhere. So i thought I would start with a pretty easy part and swap out the chrome grill for back, as its the only bit of chrome on the car and wanted that more black and white look. So far there has not been much in the way of success. This seems to be the hardest grill to get off, EVER. I see where the clips are, I can pull at the clips, but the two side ones are next to impossible to get off. It seems like the bumper needs to come off to do it, but not overly keen on trying that just yet. Any tips or tricks ?
