Hi all,
The HVAC blower motor on my car is dying and I need a new one. Does anyone know where I can get a blower motor? Either new, OEM part or recovered from a wrecked car.
I have emailed several car dismantlers in Christchurch, but to no avail...
Cheers,
Anita

Are you using standard springs?
I don't know the answer to that. I assume the springs on the car are "factory fitted". The previous owner told me he never had those replaced. Come to think, I put new tyres on her, Pirelle P7's with BMW rims and it looks like she's been lowered. Will have the details once I get her back tomorrow.

will be the same as any other E34, unless it has self levelling suspension which is highly unlikely on this 525 sedan, usually only 540i and Touring if even optioned
I'm pretty sure the car doesn't have self levelling suspension. My partner has a 2003 E39 540i touring and that has self levelling suspension.

Damn, would made more sense to put a 2.8L in. Nice car though, can't think of why the rear suspension would be different to any other std E34 sedan.
I rang the garage with VIN number and licence plate to have the suspension quoted and he told me the ones that the car uses are standard, but after it was dropped off, the dude rang me back, saying that the normal standard shocks were too long. Hence he had to order the "sports" suspension to fit my car.
Oh well.

No, "only" a 2.5 litre straight 6.

Hello All,
Thought I'd introduce myself and my car ;-)
Been the proud owner of a 1993 525i E34, Alpine White named Barrie since January. Barrie is special, apart from the fact that she's a manual, she does not have a standard M50 engine, she has a VANOS M52. (which confuses some people at the car parts shops when, say, buying oil and air filters for her).
Currently Barrie is at the garage having her rear suspensions replaced. Because she is different, her suspensions had to be imported, which makes the downtime of me not driving her longer than I expected (week).
I've attached the very first photo I took of her when I took her home.
Thank you.

Thanks. Yeah, I have been searching on the internet and most replies I've got are around $180 (NZ) plus shipping. It took me about an hour to remove the motor from the car, tiny hands is an advantage ;-)
Hopefully it won't be as painful to put to the new unit in.
180 bucks it is then.....
