Thanks for the replies, In the end I decided to just give it a shot, It sounds REALLY nice now, slight drone down low, Performance wise its utter crap, with no back pressure it just doesn't have the go anymore, Can anyone recommend a muffler that will keep the sound but provide some back pressure?

Hello Bimmersporters, I have been looking through youtube at peoples 745i's with rear muffler deletes, What I can't tell from the videos is how loud this mod actually is, I am really tempted to go out now and grind off the rear mufflers to test it but want some more info first, I am not after a performance boost as this is just a luxury car - I am just after some decent V8 noise , Cheers for any feedback, Ben P.S. there wasn't an exhaust section so I am posting in performance.

Hello, Since I bought the car the bootlid hasn't been able to be opened without the use of the actual key being used at the boot, Once opened with the key I can press the FOB boot button and it will lift the boot up, Press the button on the boot to close it and the boot will drop down softly, but the lock doesn't engage (the electronic part which seems the tighten the bootlid down) I have fiddled with the lock switch inside the center console and this doesn't help either, I'm really stuck with this as I have owned it for 3 months and I still cant get the damn thing working, fuses all check fine... any help with this would be highly appreciated, Cheers, Ben *edit - after having a look on realOEM it appears to be my "Trunk Lid Power Lock Drive" that isnt operating for some reason

Hey, I am new to the forum, Just picked up a reasonably tidy E65 but unfortunately its giving me the airbag light and in the I-Drive system it is telling me "Driver restraint system fault" and something about a seatbelt tensioner, Does anybody know anything about this and is it an easy fix?
