Hi. thanks for taking the time to reply. I checked all the connectors on everthiny in the trunk when i took the amp out to get it tested and couldn't see any issues. Any having also removed the head unit, I made sure everything was secure prior to putting it back. I have no idea what the problem is and have decided to replace the head unit with an android device that offers better connectivity (CarPlay etc). Hopefully that should solve the issue, letโs see. Thanks again. ๐๐

Hi All, About 3-4 months ago the right hand side speakers started to irregularly make a scratching sound but continued to work. This went on for about a week or two and then they stopped working completely. Then, a month or so later the front left speaker stopped working, but would occasionally work at start up for a brief moment or two and then stop. So right now Iโm left with only the rear right speaker working. I checked a couple of threads on the e46 websites and they seemed to suggest the amp was bad so I took it out and got it checked at a local hifi repair shop. They assure me the amp is good! Yesterday I took the head unit out to see if there were any obvious lose wires etc โ but found nothing. However, upon putting the car back together โ the front right speaker worked briefly again before stopping. Do you have any ideas / knowledge what might be causing this? Iโm tempted to try to replace the head unit, but donโt want to do so if itโs not that โฆ!? Any advice you can offer shall be very gratefully received ๐. Many thanks, Jason

Hello all, Can anyone please offer some advice? I have an e46, 2004 330xi Japanese export. I have managed to change the head unit language into English and change the radio frequency to a scale that recieves local radio - thanks to those that posted the info on this site. I'm now trying to get the Nav to work. I just got a second hand MkIV Nav unit today and hoped that it would be a plug and play solution, however when I removed the existing Jap Nav Unit, I realised that the wires / plugs were different! Do any of you guys know how I can connect the new MkIV Nav unit? Is there somewhere where I can either order a bespoke convention loom or any other information / guides on the web? I have read through this forum in detail - but there is nothing (least not that I could find) that covers this. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Jason
