Can anyone confirm what output signals the crankshaft sensor sends? My E46 wont start, cranks but doesnt try to fire, has ignition but no fuel. Fuel pump doesnt prime when key is turned ON, and no power at the fuel pump wiring when key is turned ON either. Have checked all fuses including the ones in the engine bay, and all relays are good.
Will the crankshaft sensor stop a fuel signal and still provide spark or will it stop both fuel and spark?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as everyone has different ideas of how it works, and its doing my head in.
