  1. Getting the 00A6D1 Additional water pump error on my e90

Was reading it's not a big deal but I'd rather be error free haha and read this can be fixed by changing the carbon brushes instead of buying a whole new pump

I was just wondering anyone know where I can get these brushes?

Apparently the type needed is something like

CarbonBrushes Coals For DC motors, drives 12-24 Volt 5x5x10mm

    Anyone done these before?

    Cheers

  2. apparently they are,so all the forum posts I found on the web said, with H&R race slightly lower, was going to go race but assumed it would be  to low but now I am thinking should of gone for thew extra 10mm, all in all tho it looks better no gap in the arch and no rubbing but just not the slammed look I was expecting, doesn't bottom out on driveways etc also, any lower and it probly would so for drive ability I think they are perfect

here are some before n afters, afters kind of sh*t due to dark in garage and no room to stand back and take a pic,but ill take a full side shot tomorrow

just need to whack on some spacers now to push the wheels out

  3. I ended up getting some Grills in Chrome Black, Cost $150, really nice quality , don't feel thin and cheap like a lot of the cheaper ebay ones

I think they look pretty cool, something a bit different from the Matte or Gloss Black was also thinking of trying to get the lower mesh done in chrome black also

here is a few pics (angel eye just blew lol) doesn't quite look as good in pictures though

also had a spare grill and some plastidip so thought id play around and tried a white border grill which I actually think looks quite sweet, what do you all think?

  4. i'll probly get laughed at for this lol and they ain't run flats but if ever you decide to go non run flat the Federal Evoluzion  ST-1 tires are great for their price, Affordable,Nice Sidewall and tread and pretty great performance for the price.

  5. I got Eibach Sportlines on my e90 as the were spose to be the lowest of the Eibach, 45-50mm front and 35mm rear.

They look good, better then stock but still not as low as I was expecting.

I have an M sport but i think it only had standard suspension, according to Vin Check I done.

I am rolling on 225/40/18 tires

as for ride difference,I don't notice much at all, maybe a touch more bounce but I was expecting it to be like riding a trampoline according to posts id read about doing springs without shocks etc, but it drives fine to me, unless I'm really speeding down a country road and hit some random bump then the car bounces 10ft in the air lol, and if I hit a pothole then you feel it.

if you haven't already done your springs  you should check out Demon Tweeks, alot cheaper then NZ I ordered mine from there for something like $400nz including postage and installed them myself Piece of piss

I actually bought my BMW off Autospot and the guy I dealt with was quite pleasant (Heath was his name). The dreaded valve stem seals needed to be replaced whilst it was still under dealer warranty and they got it all sorted without too many hitches thankfully.

wow totally different experience to what I had then, they f**ked around so much with me I ended up fixing most the sh*t myself

  7. interested in purchasing exterior cosmetic mods for my 2010 e90 LCI

it already has the M sport kit,but want to make it look better and more agressive

like a M3 replica Bumper or any Front Lips,Splitters that can make the LCI M tech bumper better

    Aftermarket head lights(blackout/smoked/new angel eyes)

    Skirts,better Rear Defusers

just  anything that could add to the overall look of my car,if you got any old parts laying around post them up with a price

    cheers

    Hey firstly, welcome aboard!

These BMW diesels are great cars - they offer excellent performance, economy and even reliability (except for cam chain issues for your model).

Yours look to be a low KM, NZ new example - you have done well!

I'm not a big fan of the blacked out rims, so perhaps go for some nice factory Mspec rims and some white LED angel eyes would be a good starting point.

    hey cheers man

it drives great and love driving it on the open road, wouldnt mind getting a performance kit for it tho, just to make it a touch more responsive

89,000kms on the clock at the moment, how can you tell its NZ new?

yeah I only found out about the timing chain issues afterwards and now I'm so paranoid about it lol

I kind like the black rims, I want to black out the grill and I think it really needs some nice side skirts a more aggressive back bumper, and to be lowered

where can I get the white Angel eyes?

  10. Hey just wanting to know where everyone orders thier cosmetics parts from ect

    I have an e90 LCI 2010

    Head & tail lights/grills/bodykits/eyelids ect

Anything really just after a few decent sites that ship to nz

    Thanks

  11. Hey everyone

Anyone had any dealings with Autosure ?

Signed up to their extreme package for 3 years

Wondering if its really worth having?

I'm still in the grace period so not sure if I should cancel or not

Reading through the policy it seems there is a whole lot of fine print to get out of coverage on alot of things

    I'm currently driving a 2010 320d

Done a bit of reading and found out about the n47 timing chain problems  and was wondering if anyone knew if Autosure covers for this?

I came across this in the policy

    9. Any  breakdown  subject to recall or withdrawal by  your vehicle’s  manufacturer or a regulatory authority;

    10.  Any breakdown caused or contributed to by a manufacturing error regardless of whether the manufacturer accepts liability for that error;

So that's making me think they won't cover it if it ever did happen

  12. hey guys first BMW

just been doing a bit of a once over on it and seen I was a bit low on coolant

few quick searches and the Majority returns are use BMW coolant

obviously cant get to the BMW dealer to get some.

Is there anywhere it can be ordered? or is there another brand I can get that's basically the same?

  13. hey guys just bought my first BMW e90 320d

just here to learn more and ask questions ect

so far have just whacked new tints on it and removed the M badge that was on the back

thinking about lowering it and swapping out the kidney grills to full black ones, and was thinking of looking into removing the shark fin as I think it ruins the lines of the car

any suggestions on some more cosmetic mods? make it more Sleek but still kind of Aggressive looking and a good website to purchase from?
