The bumper needs to come off on the M6 so hopefully that's a deterrent.. 

The dealer i bought the car from is footing the headlight bill so im going for a genuine part 😉

So, an update. 

The whole headlight unit is chemically sealed so it cant be split.

A new unit is required.  

Been told by the light specialist, more and more late model cars are going this way now.. 

Another BMW lesson learned.. Even more so important to buy an aftermarket warranty with a late car...

Hey Guys,

So on my F13 M6 one half of the outer DRL has failed.. 

I'm currently having the headlight pulled apart and repaired as BMW wanted 5-10k for a new unit !. 

I will let you know how it goes..

Just wondering if this is a common BMW issue?..
