I'm looking to buy a scanner for my F06 640i and i'm a bit perplexed as to what to go for, there's so much choice! Do i go Bluetooth? or do I stick with a dedicated scanner like the Foxwell NT510? Ideally i'd like to spend less than what the Foxwell costs but if it's worth it I could be tempted. So, what do people recommend? Thanks

Hey Julian, thanks for the welcome, judging by your avatar you're in the NZRAF? I've worked in the kitchens at Whenuapai a few times! Picked the car up on Saturday, had Android auto installed yesterday, loving the car but there are a couple of things I need to sort out. Air con needs regassing (getting that done tomorrow). Headlights need restoring, I bought the Mothers kit to try it myself but didn't do a great job, the cracking is pretty bad on the polycarbonate covers, so I've booked it in to sort on Friday. The biggest issue I have with it though, which I knew about, but was reflected in price, is the sunroof cover, the back part of it is stuck open, with some time and patience, I'm going to remove the roof lining and explore what's wrong, but it's not really a big deal atm, I don't mind the sunroof being exposed anyway lol. Apart from that, the car is is immaculate condition, the paintwork is perfect, and so shiny, it almost looks like liquid! The interior too, is in fantastic condition for a 10 yr old car. Anyway....pics....

Hey guys, I've had a couple of 5 series Bmw in the past back in the UK, I had an E60 and an F10, both 525d's, after moving to NZ, I've spent a few years in a VW and an Audi A6, but I've been looking for a decent BMW for a while, I've finally sourced my favourite BMW, that I've been after for about 10 years! I pick up tomorrow my 2013 F06 640i in carbon black and I can't wait! It's a Japanese import so first job will be an Android auto upgrade to the infotainment!
