Love The Dubz! Very Nice Work Dude
-
christ! thats a crazy price! i would be expecting parts supplied by the fitter for that price!
edit: could you take a day or two off work and do it yourself? might still work out cheaper than lost wage?
Hey mate, I rang the place and said I'm getting a tow truck to pick up my car. picked up my G260. Took it to Euro Rec. Who's charging me $60 p/hr. if things go well it should only take 8hours. Ordering a Carbon Kevlar Clutch Kit from NZAD. So then that will get the conversion going. I'll try ask the guys to take some photos if they can.
-
Monday next week because I won't have a car to use to get to work. and the car is pretty low. I could send you a picture. or if u got facebook you could add me. Mikey Yo is my FB name.
I'm going to get the tow truck to pick up my car tomorrow from AutoTech. Then put the gear box in the van and give it a clean.
-
As a benchmark it should be $400 to $500 for fitment with parts supplied by customer. Pity you are not in Auckland.
That's what I thought too!! I think I will just take it somewhere else, its such a ridiculous price.
And I could probably use some of that money to get a new HD clutch kit.
Yeah pity I wasn't in Auckland
By any chance would you happen to be able to get cheap price for Heavy Duty Clutch kit for my E30?
Thanks
-
So I got my Full G260 Kit from Jono.
Went to AutoTech to get them to do the swap. They quoted me $575. The guy then rings me a week later after getting my car towed to their workshop, saying he heard me wrong. Thought it was Auto to Auto swap not Auto to Manual. So the price now is $1,100-$1,400. I was SHOCKED!!
Could someone help me out? I need a guaranteed result. And done this week. And need to know by tonight because I have to tell the guy tomorrow if he should go ahead with it or not.
I'll pay cash.

Hey fellas,
Been looking for a steering wheel to replace the big factory BMW one on my E30.
I was looking at this Sparco Steering Wheel from TradeMe. Also need a boss kit
Wasn't sure if its a Fake or the Real Deal.
Also found this site and I quite like this wheel Visit My Website
Can someone help me? And ideas and opinions would be great.
Budget is roughly $400
Thanks
Mike.

When are the RS reps coming back in for the e30 Johno?
Ditto! I'm also waiting too
-
Holy POO STAINS!! Didn't know this would make people argue lol. So just to keep you guys posted. My Getrag 260 kit has arrived and is now sitting on a crate at AutoTech. Thanks To Jono for supplying me the kit and the sexy Leather Gear knob and Boot
First thing I need to do after gearbox is installed is to get a new rear muffler.
Went and got a quote from magoos to go headers, they said need to make custom made headers which is going to cost abit. then he told me to go full system haha.
As for the Air intake. I will just get a K&N Cone Pod Filter to replace the big factory box.
Any thoughts on this? Cam Gear
For the Rear Muffler I will just go with the one I posted above.
And I was thinking about that "performance chip" that MD13 posted aswell?
Will keep you guys posted. And I'll try get some pictures of the Mods.
Thanks for the help fellas.

Im glad Schnitzer didnt end up like that.. It looks like Schnitzers cousin (the bad one that wears a mini skirt with about 4 muffin tops hanging over the sides and ass sagging out the back, and crocs, strutting her stuff through Takapuna)
Exactly my thoughts! Who would do such a thing? I'd be too ashamed to get in that car. Track car maybe.
-
Dont get a pod, they're a waste of time, the factory air box is superior by far imo.
I saw something on here about a W.A.R chip, sounds like good bang for buck if you ask me.
I've gone the mapecu way, an NZ creation so the support around here is amazing. Complete self tune if you've got a windows laptop. Using it eliminates the chunky barn door AFM so you get better flow, also gives u a crazy throttle response.
When i had my 325i, i was pushing 195hp at the wheels with AFM removal and a new fuel map & headers from Wayney on here.
If you wanna have a look or need some advice drop me a pm.
Ah I also heard about the W.A.R Chip too. I'll try get my friend to find me something while he's in Thailand. Not sure if the quality will be the same? But please do give me more advice! As I'd like to learn as much as possible
I'm going to do some research on this " W.A.R Chip" and remapping the ecu. As I'm not strong in knowledge of it.
Thanks for the help!

headers ,sports camshaft , ecu remap
anything else is a waste of money
Thanks Brent will take that into mind! Am going to sort out a good pricing for the Exhaust system- Manifold straight to 2.5" Twin Eurostyle Muffler. Then ask around about getting Cams done. Then a performance chip.
Thanks for you're input

Hey mike,
Give me a call Monday, have some ideas and e30 goodies tucked away that could help with improving your project
Cheers
Jon
Hey Jon,
Oh that sounds nice! Will call you then! And can't wait for the manual conversion kit!
Thanks so much! :D

I'd dump a sh*t load of mud on their ground so they can't skate for awhile lol

The above muffler might be horribly loud. I had one like that on a car I wrecked. Sounds good, but very vocal - might attract the attention of the local constabulary.
After exhaust and intake, dollar for dollar an aftermarket computer usually provides the best gains.
I used to have something similar to this muffler on my old 325. It sounded nice..Also loud only if you rev it high. but doing 50km at 1500rpm isn't bad its more of a humbling tone.
where could i get a computer from?
-
If you really need a filter go for a panel filter that slots into the factory slot. You will not get any noticable power from modifications that far from the engine. Anything that has a proper benefit will need a tune to suit it.
I'd be spending the money on headers, cam and tune if you want more power.
Good luck either way
But the factory box is too big and clumsy. I'll take photos and let you guys know how I get on. I'm thinking about getting this Rear Muffler also Click

Hey guys,
I'm thinking of doing some engine mods to my E30 325i. As it will be getting a manual conversion put in next week. So wanted to get some parts ready to add more power.
First mod I was thinking is taking out the factory Air box and replacing it with a K&N Cone Pod Filter?
I was wondering does anyone know where I could get a Air Intake + Filter Kit with Shield? Been looking on Ebay but there isn't much, only saw this " Carbon Fibre" Cold Air Intake Kit.
Whats everyone's opinions on this?
Also wanting to get a Exhaust System as well. Was thinking getting it from manifold to rear twin muffler. Size 2.5" But I'm not sure of the prices?
Does anyone know mates that work at Magoo Mufflers? who would do a good price?
Any opinions would greatly help!
Thanks
Mike

Hey guys,
Steve came around and rolled out the lip on the rear guards. did a great job. I would put a pic up but you can't really tell a difference. But theres a big difference in space inside the guard. Now just gotta wait til the car gets manualed and go for a test drive
-
Hi Mike,
yours appears to be a different fault, common of the 4hp22
one thing that can cause this is a good bootful on the accelerator whilst in neutral or park,
repairable, but labour, parts etc and not as satisfying as a manual conversion
hear from you soon
Ah Thanks for that info! Now I know who was at fault lol. My Ex-partner and I were arguing about something, then she put the gear into Park while I was doing about 60km. Not so good.
I just sent you and email Jon.
-
My auto box did the same, but it works fine in Reverse. So I'm buy a Full Manual conversion Kit From Jono51
-
I'd Choose Kicker IMO.
-
Damn they look tempting to replace my 15" Borbet Reps! But still wanting you're BBS RS Reps
What'd you do to your BMW today?
