  1. I'd also be keen on this but how would I go about fitting it on my series car?

also, where can I can a DTM style system thats not boy racer material...

I enquired at Wolf Mufflers on Dominion Road, has a round twin tip on shelf, though said he can order the square twin tip in around $350 from memory (fitted on existing pipe)

  2. Hi Guys,

Just been looking into the idea of putting a twin tipped dtm style muffler on stock piping mainly for looks and slight sound improvement. Is it worth putting FL manifold on a PFL and a B25 stock twin piping and later change the rear muffler, as I have seen a cheap one on here, though dont want to go through the hassle if there is no advantage in doing this!

Just thought if I do get a MTech1 kit, it needs a twin tip square dtm exhaust, and me being me, if it's twin tip, it should be twin pipe! lol the architect in me!

    Any comments appreciated.

  3. Thank you Gavin,

Replacement gear knob with Bimmersport discount. He also phoned around for air intake hose to see who's got one on-shelf; very helpful with pointers on other bits I asked about.

Nice touch with the chocolate added as a treat for the drive home.

Highly recommended for all those new hard to find engine/wear n tear items.

  4. Yeah, I went to get a quote for somewhere to adjust my lifters properly...

and the pipe that goes from the t-stat housing to the waterpump burst. Cheap hoseclamps cut up the pipe by the looks of it.

Think mine has the same problem, seems to have a slight leak too only after running.

  5. E30 Leaks - what would cause a leak that would take on water in the passenger side footwell .. it seems to be coming from the back not hte front. Any idea how to combat this. Also some dampness in rear passenger side well.

When you have an answer please let me know, I have dampness in rear passengers footwell and boot too...

  6. Someone had left the backs off the front seats, probably looking to see how they could fix the steel frame where the top tubes have come away from the sides at the weld. I noticed that it might not be that difficult to remove the gas struts after you remove the back of the seats, and un clip the upholstery, as mine is only held to the frames by the steel spikes on the frame and the holes in the leather/vynal sides of upholstery.

    Hope the above helps you.

  7. I forgot to add earlier, one of my immediate concerns is, I found where an oil leak is coming from; the Oil Pressure Sensor, when the engine is not running....

Being hopeful, I thought I might be able to just tighten it, but it appears to seep through where the plastic part and spade connector comes through.

How do you take it out, I had no socket that size nor ring spanner... does repco sell the sensor if this requires replacement?

  9. lol just picked it up yesterday afternoon and took the rest of the afternoon giving it a deserved clean :)

Needs a few little bits and pieces done, which we will get done at some point. Hopefully you lot can point me in the right direction.

Need to fix the drivers seat, it dropped right back when I tried to adjust back a notch, had to drive it like that to next exit or GF following in her car probably would have stopped on M Way too so ya need new seat me thinks.
