Help out an old fart here - what the hell is PWN? OK found it: - but how the hell do you pronounce it??? PWN (verb) 1. An act of dominating an opponent. 2. Great, ingenious; applied to methods and objects. Originally dates back to the days of WarCraft, when a map designer mispelled "Own" as "Pwn". What was originally supose to be "player has been owned." was "player has been pwned". Pwn eventually grew from there and is now used throughout the online world, especially in online games. 1. "I pwn these guys on battlenet" 2. "This strategy pwns!" or "This game pwn."

> 1.369 for dunedin .. 96 .. Geez! I didn't know it was that high these days. I never look at the prices.

Speaking of petrol - I filled up yesterday for $87 and had a mental ouch. How much is petrol these days, I forgot to look at the price per litre (I'm assuming we all use premium grade?)

For anyone who wants to see the trike, drop me an email ~ [email protected] ~ and we'll jack up a visit. Believe me - it is AWESOME - Pete is a mechanical artist!! How would you like 12 chrome exhausts, no mufflers, hanging out of the back of your beast??? If there's enough want to have a squiz we'll jack it up for next weekend? Cheers Roger

Actually its for a trike!! I have a friend who builds V12 Jaguar trikes and he intends to do it for a living soon. I was suggesting he consider building a BMW offering also, to increase his potential client base, so he's keeping an eye out for one. Generally, he buys Jaguar XJS V12s which have rusted badly and therefore are worth bugger all. Then he strips the donor engine, gearbox and dash parts and builds the trike around them. He can get an rusted Jag for less than $2k. He has his first finished, but he's not yet road-legal, although it has been on road many times ;-) He's just come back from USA, where he's found great interest in his product, so I'm guessing the $US will be dictating where many of his trikes end up. Awesome machines - I can arrange a viewing if anyone is in Palmy area and wants to have a nosey!

My car is Glacier Green. I had the choice of 2, but the other was white....I prefer colour, even though Glacier Green is more silver than green.

Where you guys go for your BMW FULL service?

As an older member, I couldn't agree more with the FSH comment. I've just bought my E39 and it was NZ new, one owner, FSH at the local BMW agent. For me, that was worth paying a little extra. Peace of mind with BMWs goes a long way... I compare that to the two imports I'd bought before, with no service history and questionable mileage and the various little troubles I had. I will only buy with FSH from now on. I also always get serviced at the local agent (Jeff Gray BMW here). -
Thanks all - and you are SO right about keeping the wheels cleaned!! Looks like a great site. I'll be seeing more of y'all.

Hi I'm Jazzbass, in Palmy. I've just bought my third BMW (pictured) and its my first 5 series. Have had a '92 318 and a '95 325 before, I was a little concerned that the 528i SE might not give me the same BMW feel. But it does - and more! I can't believe how much better my E39 is than my E36. It's only a bog standard E39, but I love it to bits!!
