  1. Is that installation for Left or Right Hand drive?

    Both - except right hand drive models don't need to remove the hood cable IIRC.

    Right hand drive e30's hood cables on the left hand side, correct?

    Anyways - the realy it replaces is on the driver's side on all e30 weather it's right or left hand drive.

    It works just like newer BMW's, when you close your driver's door, it keeps the the lights on, and then slowly fades out over a period of about 30-45 seconds just like the new BMW's.

    It has an added feature that when you turn the key, it dims down the light quicker, so that you can start driving with out glare. Anyone that had driven a newer BMW knows this feature. It adds a really cool lighting effect, and is very useful at times. Like when you need to read a map real quick.

    - remove the drivers side bottom dash cover to gain access to the hood release cable bolts (8mm) and remove the bolts.

    - Remove the speaker panel and the speaker.

    - Remove the two screws that is just below the speaker opening and reach into the speaker cavity and pull the bracket out

    - Remove relay, and plug in the new dimmer mod.

    - button it back up and you are done.
