Hi all, i've just bought an e38 740iL, so my baby has to go. As much as I love my new car, I am still going to miss this beauty (me missus reckons I'd be an idiot to keep both - she might have a point). So very genuine reason for selling. I have kept this car in top condition. See it at: 735i e32 I'm after $4250 ono. Looking at the other e32's on trademe, thats not a bad price at all, especially considering the relatively low ks, the 17" mags, stereo system, and it being NZ new.

Oops the above post was by me. The pc was logged in under me gfs username.

Actually its more commonly said that men with small pee pees try to make up for it with more power under the bonnet... I spose what with my car I shouldn't be suggesting that...

Me and me bro both had red e28s (mine an auto 520-a brick to drive- his a manual 528-fantastic car) for our first cars, so I'm biased towards the e28. They stand out far more than e30s I reckon. But you can get e34s for damn cheap. The same brother just bought a black manual 535i e34 (1988) for less than $3.5! Couldn't believe his luck. I'll post some pics when I get my hands on some.

Ouch that really sucks. At least you only have yourself to blame! I'd get a new car and start again. It looks like most of the stuff you upgraded in this car will still be fine (eg interior and wheels) and can be installed in a new e30. You can get them for next to nothing on trademe; I doubt your repair costs will cost less than buying a 320i on trademe.

This info and this helped with my question. Also this. Conrod seems to be correct that you just use ATF. I also read somewhere (can't refind the link) that unlike VW/Audis, BMWs don't require very specific ATF for powersteering fluid.

That's debatable... I was less than impressed with the arrogant wank sales man who treated me like any other 'kid off the street' and the install was appauling - who the f**k sits the speakers in the tray without screwing them in???Nice clean looking E32 though. Yeah I agree with you about the arrogant sales desk guy. But if you have a BMW, their BMW expert is worth the trouble. He even let me use his own car for the day he was working on mine. Dang I can't remember his name right now.

Yeah it is red. I'm tempted to just stick auto fluid in, cos I just wanna fix it! But I will wait till Tues and give BM Workshop a ring.

Very nice indeed. If you're after centre caps, I got mine on trademe off a very helpful guy Auckland City (account name Woohlala). I stuck up a few pics of mine here. By the way, where do you go to get yours serviced etc?

Last one. Apart from the wheels and number plates, most of the money I've spent on this is on the sounds. If you ever need work on your e32's sounds, theres a guy at Rapid Radio in Ponsonby who knows the e32's sound system back to front. Oh yeah, for any pissant who thinks they might like to have my sounds for free, I take them out at night, incase the alarm doesn't do its job. It would be nice if everyone could be happy and willing to save up and purchase their own equipment.

Hi all. I'm just interested to see who else drives an E32. I suppose because of their age and the price of petrol, they are becoming less and less common. I have to say Cress's e32 is looking rather nice. Here's mine. Not my best pics, cos the good ones are all on my gfs pc. But anyway...

Cool thanks for that. It is the powersteering/booster fluid that is leaking, with the reservoir at the front passenger side. Dang I suppose that means I have to wait till tuesday till I can get this sorted. Unless anyone knows what fluid is used?

Hi guys I have an e32 735i that I've been slowly upgrading over the last few months (I'll post a pic in a tick). Here's a link. Has anyone ever had to top up their power steering/brake fluid? I know mine has a slow leak, and needs a top up every 3 months or so. However in the manual it says "Do not use brake fluid". Its kinda weird because there is a seperate brake reservoir in addition to the powersteering/brake fluid reservoir. Repco in Remuera don't stock any other hydraulic fluid that isn't called brake fluid. Anyone have any ideas?
