Check the viscous coupling on the fan. Get a new radiator - is the coolant leaking anywhere? like from waterpump. mi car does the same (oldskool e30).... temperature rises to 3/4s and sits thea, sum times creaps higher, on hills if i chuck it into nutral goin down the temp goes bk to half way again... every 2 -3 weeks its just about a new radiatior of water/coolant tipped in thea.... also mi temp guage bounces badly wen the cars warming up??? -i had aftermarket one but it blew with in a few days!!! mi bfs theory is tht the thermostat is stuck closed.... but he hasnt really done much wrk on beamas just jap cars so i dnno.... tell me wot u think.... ive had $3000 wrth of bills tryin to fix the dam thing but nuffins wrkd.... ive had radiatir check, fans etc, they evn disconnected mi heaters thniking that was the problem -which was a huge mistake as i cud control the temp in traffic with it, now im stick with wishing power it wont ever heat..... i admit mi car was a lemon wen i bought it but ive payed more for repairs (havnt had jsut temp problems) than i did for the car (i payed wwwaaaaayyyyy too much for it) SUM 1 HELP ME!!!! lol

...id jus like to say thanks for no help!!!! i had more help off othr non beamer forums than on hea! in teh end i had mi m8 break into a beamer the same and rip the hose out so we knew !!!! :finger: - i was jus kiddin but i did have to stop and ask sum random on the street to pop the bonnet so i cud look!!!!

hey everyone!!!! can some one please tell me wot teh diameter for the top radiator hose is on a 1989 (i think -oldskool type) 318i.... (coupe if tht matters) .... i need to buy an aftermarket temperature guage (as current one has paked a sad and will cost more to fix or replace with genuine thn an aftermarket) but currently cant get into mi car to sus out the pipe... help wud b great lol...... becs....

hehehe thanks guys, its always good to hear other ppls opinions and get advice, i have big plans for mi beamer which i will list later on 2nite wen i get home from wrk as i dont have time to type tehm all out now..... the pictures above are about 3mnths old, and ive had the car for 6mnths the front lip was painted wen i bought tha car but yes ive talkd to the previous owner and hes said they used a special plastic primer on it as one of you guys suggested..... wen tehy did thid they also reprayed under bottom at back (round bottom) with stone guard (-works so gud am thing of having lip recoated) gtg now but ill b on l8er lol will also add more recent pics of car if i can....

hey yall, im new to the forums and jus wanted to post a sum pic of mi car and tell u all a little about me etc... ma names bex, im 17years old (female as u can probly tell) and currently work as a sign writer. ^^^^^^ thts mi ride lol, AUTO, non turbs -nuffin exciting engine wise lol..... car has TSW mags, and king springs lowerin, also 35% tints (bleave it or not) and a lip on the front. currently in the works are a deal for sum racepro EVO side skirts to be fitted (am looking onto a new front kit but havnt found one i like yet)and also got a race seat on its way soon.... sounds are on the blink so am also currently looking onto the ICE i want to buy... hahah so this is mi first post, and i hope to make many many more on what looks like a cool website! :bowdown: :bounce: :thumb:
