  1. Hey Again guys, Unfortuatley with the end of year approaching and me starting uni next year i will probably have to sell the 540i in December. Just wondering how much you guys think its worth because there seems to be a lot of variation in the e34 price market. Its a 1994 540i E34 - Silver, No Leather, electic seats - automatic - 6 stack cd - painted bumpers and skirts - towbar - lowered and wheel alignment - near new 18" Breyen Rims + bridgestone rubber - 4lt V8 Entire car is in all over great condition, has done 225,000km but i have full stack of reciepts and service records. I have pics if you guys are interested but i dont know how to post them up. Any advice on its value would be great. thanks
  2. I dont think hitting the sump is a problem at all, its still 16cm above the ground.
  3. yeah its the same height as the first one pretty much, you know any tricks to get it lower? aparantly if the springs are any smaller they become uncaptive.

Hey, Just had my e34 lowered, in my opinion its no where near low enough. 3cm in the front, nothing in the back. basically looks standard. wondering what you guys have done to get more drop, saw off a coil or compressing the springs? it rides basically the same aswell. im pretty dissapointed. what else can i do? thanks for the help in advance.

  6. Hey Everyone, I need some help with my stereo. It is the factory unit with 6 stacker. The tape deck and the Cd works perfect. Although it gets almost no reception in both bands and all stations. It has a band expander installed. and i have taken the unit out and had a good look at the band expander everything looks in order. What do you think it would be thats going wrong? Any known problems or the best bet just taking to a specialist. Also on a side note, anyone with a 540i e34, what sort of gas milage are you getting with your a)long distance driving and round town driving. Thanks again for the help in advance, Brad
  7. Hey guys, just wondering what type of manual gear boxes fit up to the e34 540i. Would anyone know where to find the parts for the conversion. Getting the car its suspension package installed this weekend and will finally have some pictures to put up on the site. Cheers again Brad

  9. Its not going to be a track car or anything i was just looking for a height adjustable suspension system and d2 was a good example. If there is nothing height adjustable for the e34 can some one recomend a good shock and spring combo that will provide a large height drop and recomend a place to get it. Thanks
  10. Hey mate, Throwing stars have been sold ive upgraded to beyern 18" wheels. Tow Bar never got pictures up because the offer on it would have to be very good because id need to repaint a standard bumper to get rid of nasty hole the tow bar leaves. By adjustable i mean height adjustable like D2 Coilovers etc. Im going to have to replace shocks and springs in the near future so im looking for the best suspension package possible

  12. Cheers guys, also for you e34 owners my fan isnt blowing that hard, it goes cold and hot and air con works. The fan just physically doesnt blow hard. What would be a likely reason? Ive just puts some 18" Beyern Mesh Style Rims on it and my next upgrades are to exhuast and suspension. Im on a resonable budget what can i do to make it sound and look a bit better in these departments. Thanks again, Brad
  13. Hey, Ive been talking to BMW about suggested preventative maintenance on the e34 540i. Im almost at about 230,000km and the tech said that 2 things should be done. First the oil pick up in the sump is prone to breaking and it should be fixed immediatley as if it does break the engine will sieze. Second the head bolts should be replaced because they often break in half and end up in the cams and bugger the entire top end. Out of experience should these be done? Are there other problems i should be looking for? Thanks (pics of the car should be up today)
  14. Yeah my mags have a sort of hub cap which is the star, a plactic peice in the middle
  15. All throwing stars curve towards the front of the car, so im guessing they arnt fake. they all cut so to speak towards the front of the car, will take a picture tonight, and a picture of the tow bar.
