I say spend that money on tires and petrol, will definatley give you more pleasure lol
what year is the beast? could always put sumthing like the engine code, eg: M50B25, but that won't mean much to most people lol
-
I'd say I would love one of these, but I don't think I would even deserve it...its soooo nice. Any chance of a picture under the bonett?
-
I'll do my best to video the drive this weekend (the beast will be part of the drive)
-
welcome, we're having a get together this weekend in chc, have a look in the meetings section for more details, would be nice to see you there :-D
-
Bugger about your location. How much would it be for the pattern though?
wel shipping shouldnt cost to much i would imagine, its not that big or heavy, just awkward lol I used to work at one of the courier companies and used to get tickets half price, and I still got a couple of mates who work there. $20-25 would have covered overnight, insured shipping back in the day (1 year ago), so I would imagine it would still be close to that.
If someone could lend me an iS lip to take a mould (pattern) of I would cover the price for that from my own pocket.
If I was to buy one to take a mould off, I would have to get my money back somehow...(sell the lips for more)
If anyone's got any ideas, just let me know
-
hey mate, mind me asking where you would have them made, as I am trying to make some as well. I haven't found one to take a mould of yet. I could make them for about $80 (2 layers of 450 CSM with white gelcoat finish). If its a decent size group buy, maybe even less ;-)

Subtle : )
WHy hasn't it got the M3 bonnet? And for some reason I think they've made the front look "cute" rather than agressive.
I definitley agree about the cute comment. Is audi the only company who makes their cars look REALLY agressive nowadays? Normally BMW makes really subtle stuff, but this is obviously not going that way
-
a fair bit of downforce there lol quite a wide track as well.... when they say wide body they really mean it lol
-
loving it lol. love the one with the chicks on top the beer
-
damn, nice e39
I wan't one of those some day :-P (with the kit, and those exact rims to)
Welcome

that is SOOOO HOT! And I'm the one that loves 5 series, and not particulary into the 3's

1st ones are alright

Hows this coming along?
U done any moulds yet? Im real keen on a m-tech 1 kit
Mtec 2 on its way (as above)
I'm gonna get a mtec 1 rear soon, and hopefully a front as well!
Thats about it for now tho
My other thing I would like to do it a iS lip, but yet to find a not to expensive one lol
Also had someone asking about making a E36 M3 front, but noting confirmed

ok, but before you do anything have al little read
http://www.bolhuijo.com/airflowtest/
Its about and E30 not E36, never the less will probably still aplly.

dude, you have to much spare time at work! lol

Sounds like a plan! But is there a way to tell all the cyclists in Christchurch to keep off the hills on the day of our drive? Damn idiots almost killed me and themselves on more than one occasion! I mean, who rides two abreast on a road barely wide enough for two cars?
/end rant!
lol reccon aye. I had to basically had to throw out the anchor out the window to stop in time, in order to avoid choosing between hitting a biker and a head on crash. It funny how you come around the corner with the tires screeching and see them jump in the gutter lmao
-
youp I know the route...and heck I got an Idea on how to improve on it a litle bit lol. I got a video of the drive on saturday to. I'm doing my best to edit it, and show it to bimmersport
-
Wish I could have been there, but had a lack of car . That e30 M3 would have to be my favorite.
mate just ask if anyone is willing to take you along. I for one would be more than happy to give any bimmersport member a ride along to a meeting/drive aye

Stoked i see my car i really like that e36 coupe, the wheels are awesome!
yeah its pretty cool to see your car in other peoples pics. I saw you when you were on your way out, I was at the gate talking to the guy with the white M3 (can't remember his name right now lol).

BMW don't manufacture the X3, X5 or Z4 (to name a few) in Germany either.
The BMW Mini is a great little car. The blown one was a little noisy as a convertible though.
I'm not a big fan of the X's either lol Z4 on the other hand....lol. I know the minis are a great wee car, I just don't like them for some unknown reason

simple standard e30 leather boot for the gearstick, I had a look on trademe and ebay but dont wanna buy overseas,
Cheers.
any upholstery place should be able to make you one very easily I reccon, if you can't find anything convenient. (ask them to use motosport coloured stiching (sp?) lol)

hey guys
I've been as well, had a really good time. Here's all the pictures I took at the park:
Nice little race E30
And another nice racing E30
One of my favourite BMW's there, the white M3. Talked to the owner plenty (bimmersport member)
A done up E36, probably the only one that sticked out that much lol
One AWSOME 2002 Turbo :-D
A great 8 series, love those cars
The 8's interior
The Porsche group (morning)
The VW's (morning)
Probably one of the most amazing cars at the meet
And its interior
An Merc S500, probably the most expensive cars at the meet (not sure what some of the old ones are worth tho), this had a tag of about 300 grand!!!
A 335i from the BMW dealership
And a few shots in the BMW group
Heading out
At the cafe at the halfpoint of the trip
Back at the park in the afternoon
E36 Alpina
E28 M5, a real classic
Another very nice looking E36
And some more group photos in the BMW section
And finally my car and my mates S80 Volvo (i know, not german, but the guy just loves all kind of euro cars, and we hid it next to a tree, out of the way lol)
Now you might be wondering why I don't have any pics of the drive. That's because I have a video of it (the good parts like hills and fastish roads anyway lol) I will edit it a bit, and add some soundtrack to it and try and upload it somehow :-D
Overal it was a great event, with lots of cool cars and I hope it will be held again next year, with hopefully even more cars. Something I would have loved to see was a old school 6 series (e24), or even better a M6!!! One thing I was happy not to see (especially in the BMW group) was the Mini Cooper, I don't like them lol from what I unerstand they are not manufactured in Germany, so it wasn't inveited to the party anyway lol

call me old fashioned but I reccon that if a rim has a half decent amount of dish, it should be polished (most of the time...)
