I didnt know it was part of the equipment for e39/x5 etc.. Always thought it was a forced requirement from the US only vehicles from '05 onwards
Got the part numbers ? am geniunely interested for something else im looking at.
Hey Josh
I'll come up with the part numbers soon. i've confirmed from Jeff Grey in CHC that this was standered on the e39M5 and on other E39's it was optional.

Guys..
Does any one know how to install an OEM TPMS into an E39. Is it as simple as installing the four sensors and plugging the module in.
-
Hey Thanks Greg..
I'll follow up on the link you send... and yes i haven't been online much after the quake but now all up and running still waiting to buy my DICE unit too...once i have that might contact you or come down your way for a drive...
Thanks again

Thanks for that Brent ..... Guess you are right...

Just wondering on my E39 i've got the standard TV function which i assume will stop working when the government switches the TV broadcasting to digital. Is there a fix for this issue at all...
-
Hi..
I Assume this is a wagon.... if so it's definitely a sub.. i've got one too on my 2003 e39 wagon.

button combo should work ... definitely talk to grant about the Nav worth the $ IMO
if your in AKL i can enable your TV in motion, and change radio region if you cant get the button combo to work.
Hey Matt
How can you get TV in motion activated.
I'm in CHCH so if you could pass me the info that'll be great my contact number is 0212737332 cheers Sami

That will do it, BMW does recommend that the engine is off for the programming of some modules.
Another way is using another car with good qaulity jumper cables and your host car is set to ignition on/engine off. MAke sure aircon if off for both vehicles or get a decent battery jump pack.
Battery trickle chargers aren't design to deliver enough current to run modules real time.
Thanks for that..
I'll try and get my battery fully charged and will look at having a another car at the time of coding. And how can i make sure i've got the right Voltage. Can it be done using the diagnostic module.
Cheers..

Just remember guys when coding settings in. Make sure your battery voltage is above 12.20 volts (atleast) The Kline fails under 11.5volts and you _will_ cause corruption in your respective module configs.
I have been doing some read-only real time testing relating to a project im working on at the point in which packets of data start to degradate and 11.5volts is when failures start to happen.
To keep the voltage at 12.20V or above what's the easiest method ( have the battery fully charged or keep the engine running)

Hey M-Spec
What was your tint.. i would like to get my E39 wagon done on the same too. of course it'll be more expencive because of the larger surface area on the wagon.
Cheers

The TV tuner has an AV-IN connection (which you can choose to extend to your glovebox if you wish)
Hi Jochen
Is this AV-IN connection located near the NAV computer and the CD changer or at the back of the screen/radio unit.
Cheers
-
Just be aware that many of the cheap AV cables on Tardme and Ebay will not work with later iPods and earlier ones running late firmware
You need to ask if they will work with your firmware, or pay Apple's exhorbinant price for genuine AV cable.
Cheers for that Greg
I've actually PM'd you on this would like to have a chat to you about the dice conversion.
Thanks
Sami

Hey Guys
New to the very much... where did you buy the dice unit from and how much did you pay.

Hi Guys
Is there any one here from Christchurch who's used NavCorder before, and have a prober cable which can be used by NavCorder... i'll appreciate your help and would certainly do any help i can to you in return.

OBDII cable or Resler interface from german to your cars IBUS (internal BUS)
It can recode your LCM, NAV, TV and other functions.
Hi Hybrid
So do you just connect the OBD11 Cable directly to the computer with no other interface... didnt get you there.
